Ninja Hue Module

Installation

Step 1 - fetch module (must be on develop branch)

cd PATH_TO_NINJA_CLIENT/drivers
git clone https://github.com/thatguydan/ninja-hue.git
cd ninja-hue
npm install

Step 2 - restart process

Step 3 - press button on Hue

Need to more aggressively search and pair base stations

The base station has a tendency to change IP addresses (anecdotally after Philips pushes a firmware update, but possibly other times as well). We aren't handling this situation properly. We've already started keying by MAC address, however we need to more aggressively search for base stations we might already be paired to.

Presently we only search for stations if

  1. The user explicitly clicks search in config
  2. There are no configured hues on startup

With (2) we need to aggressively search via an interval, and test if we are already paired with a base station . Since we key by MAC address of the base station it shouldn't affect the devices.
