If you are bringing clothes - wrap them in plastic wrap. It's dusty AF out there.
- boots (you can get by with sneakers - waterproof boots are better imho)
- shower shoes (flip flops)
- towel or two
- tissue paper (it's dusty AF)
- zip lock bags
- butt wipes (DO NOT PUT IN PORTA POTTIES
- big old shower wipes if you are gross
- lotion - if you aren't used to the desert keep your skin from cracking
- a good water bottle
- new socks for each day if wearing boots/shoes
- a cheap backpack - remove all branding
- a cup or two
- whatever snacks you like - bring less than you think. salty/sweet/oily things. I bring dried beans, jerky, and nut bars.
- breakfasty stuff - many people like oatmeal packs, i eat ramen
- 'lunch' food - i bring bowls of instant ramen and tuna fish
- 'fun' clothes for night, 'work' clothes for day.
- bring cold weather gear! it's very possible you'll be outside in freezing temps
- work kilts are very handy if actually building things - pockets are a lifesaver
- booze you like - cheap beer tastes awesome out there
- Nevada is 'everything is legal' state - there is a dispensary in Fernley. Feds have to pretend to enforce though so don't flash in front of BLM rangers. BRC rangers and local sheriff doesn't care
