Xiaomi Notebook Pro - Catalina. Installed Mojave 10.14.5 First boot : sudo kextcache -i / to activate the trackpad Plug HDMI cable, image switch to external display and Mi display turns black. Just leave it, wake up from sleep and both displays are working fine. Update Catalina Beta from App Store Re fix the trackpad at first boot and voila, everything works as expected.

My touchpad isn't working after update.

You need to rebuild the kext cache after every system update. Use Kext Utility.app or type sudo kextcache -i / in Terminal.app. Then restart. If this still doesn't work, try to press F9.
