tl-d3's Issues

Display not works with Marlin 2.0.x

I have update the Firmware to Marlin 2.0.x Bugfix
but the Display do not work.
Can you share the .hmi file or can you tell me how i can integrate
the Display in Marlin 2.0.x Bugfix.

fix the currents

The currents set are too low (only at about 740 mA!) and cause lost steps due to low stepper motor torque.
The correct currents for axies would be X = 1100 mA , Y = 1300 mA , Z = 950 mA and i guess the E should be about 1100mA

Need Clarity About Release Versions and Firmware Update Files

Tenlog posted about firmware V1.0.17 on Facebook on January 19. There is no .hex file in this repository. There is a .hex file in the Tenlog google drive; I would have to assume TL-D3P-DWN.hex is correct for a new TL-D3 Pro.

The Facebook post mentions that the touchscreen must be flashed to match V1.0.17. That version is not in this repository. The .bin, .icl etc files are in the Tenlog google drive under 4.3 > V1.3.6, but there is no .tft file necessary for flashing the touchscreen.

Please clearly explain which are the latest supported production release versions and exactly which .hex and .tft files we need to use to upgrade our printers.

Thank you.

Klipper - Thermosensor Type

Hello,

I am writing code for a configuration file to run Tenlog D3 Pro with Klipper firmware. I would like to know what the sensor type is for the thermosensor in the extruders and in the bed. Also, please let me know what pins these are connected to for Extruder 1, 2 and the bed.

Thank you so much.

P.S. If anyone reading this has successfully run the Tenlog D3 Pro on Klipper firmware, please send us a message and your config files.

Print abort (Octoprint)

I print from Octoprint. Same setup/part work one time and another time the job abort.
Message in terminal:
Communication timeout while printing, trying to trigger response from printer.

Update: 24.10.2020
I print the same part from SD-Card. Same problem.
Printer is shutting down while printing.

Extruders Freezing Up! Is this happening to you?

Is an ongoing issue that will happen at random after five hours. At first I thought it was a faulty VGA cord. Or maybe I just wanted to believe it was. I know it's not my hotend. The extruder causes the clogs cause it freezes up as if there is no power going to it! So I reset the machine, and the extruder works again. And it hasn't been limited to extruder one. I've seen it happen to the second one. One extruder will work fine, then the other will freeze up mid print. So it's not always the same one.

Sent an email to Tenlog support about it and they just ignored me (like usual, unless it's to complete a sale - thanks Tenlog -_-). Trying to work out what it could be. I think it might be either software or motherboard related.

I saw in another post a guy felt the motors weren't getting enough power. Could this potentially be a reason for the extruder motors failing?

Update: I forgot to add, that I've stopped the prints when I see the nozzle moving over thin air with no plastic coming out. To manually test the extruder motors via the software controls. The one that fails, won't move filament at all in or out. You won't even hear the gears move like you would with a clog to have it chew up filament like expected (not that one should wish for such a outcome). While the other extruder that works will still move filament. I'll reset the machine to find the one that stopped working is back to normal. I can even get it to eject plastic most of the time without a clog in the hotend if I catch it early enough.

Duplication mode not working from PC host

Printer: Hands 2
Firmware: Was emailed to me
MD5SUM - 06885062a1083d88910758e12c08c2ab

How to reproduce:
Home machine
Run GCODE from PC that has M605 S2 command

P2/E2 extruder moves too far right and jams/makes.

Work around:
M605 S2
G28
Run GCODE

M605 must be done before homing.

AXE Y doesn't work !!!!!

During the homing the Y axe doesn't work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This since a long time and the oldest firmware work so why ? Where is the problem ???????

Print over USB fail

I have an Tenlog TL-D3S

When i print over USB then the print fails, In the log comes many resends from printed lines.
The print fails because the X-axis drive to home position and the active extruder eject the Filament.
Then the print continues without filament. This happens in any print over USB.
The same G-Code printed from SD-Card works fine .

Feedrate too fast after homing from PC

The movement is too fast.
Commands after move the correct speed.

Work around:

shutting down and restarting with usb connected

When I shut down this printer using the power switch and usb is still connected it says 'shutting down' on the display, but it never actually does shut down (hangs). Turning the power back on it displays some chinese characters I don't understand and it won't start or get into the main menu (hangs on the Chinese idk what). I tried sending M0 and M81 gcode commands to shut it down but for some reason it moved the z axis all the way up causing the motors to skip...

I was planning to use a dedicated PC or MCU which will always power the usb, so I need some way to shut down and restart the printer. Sending some gcodes to start-stop would be great but at this point I'd already be happy if the power switch could work as expected and not hang the printer.

How to properly shut down and restart this printer with usb connected? Is there a list of supported gcodes somewhere?

TL-D3 V2 error no: 12 ?

Hi,
I am looking for help with my new machine.
If am not in the right place please let me know.

I am printing with a new TL-D3 pro V2 with a 600w PS.
So far, I printed 5 small projects without any problem.

But now, I start the project... it print a few minutes than Pause 15 secondes... print a few minutes than pause... and after 2 hours or so (3h for the 3rd trial) it stop and give me a "no:12 error" failed print 😔
According to what I found, #12 is an issue with temperature ?
However, from what I can see, the readings on the display show 205/205/60 (hotend1/hotend2/bed) as requested. And by observation... it is stable and no difference can be seen just before the "pause".

Note: I print trough a beagle Cam/USB connected.
Note2: I used the same set-up and printed the same project on my TL-D3 pro (2209) and completed just fine after 11hour 41minutes.

Any idea as how/where to investigate?
Thanks

Mesh leveling

Please add mesh leveling. It would help with people's warped beds from factory. 9 point would be perfect.

cordialement
It is not possible to use M600 for a filament change on an extruder despite firmware modifications the M600 command does not work ??
Please reset the M600 to version 1 of MARLIN if possible

Marlin M105 Response Incorrect

So I have been trying to figure out why my octoprint doesn't get a temp update from my printer and after quite a bit of trial and error I have figured out it is because the M105 format is not correct. The second nozzle temp is never returned. Only way to get the second nozzle temp is by manually changing to the second extruder and changing back but the second you change back the nozzle temp for the second extruder does not update. Could anyone help me in correcting this issue?

Current format is

Send: M105
Recv: ok T:16.9 /0.0 B:16.9 /0.0 @:0 B@:0

The correct format should be

Send M105
Recv: ok T:16.9 /0.0 T1:16.9 /0.0 B:10 /0.0

The T is referring to extruder 1 and t1 is referring to extruder 2

Z hop doesn't work after upgrading H2 firmware

Today I upgraded from version 1.0.17 to version 1.0.20, and have lost movement in Z for hops while retracted.

I have tried many speed settings in cura, and I have verified that hops are present in the gcode, as well as printing old gcode that I know had working hops. None hop now, and the only thing left to blame is the firmware.

Z moves normally for layer changes, but not on retraction.

Extruder 1 wont move along the X axis

I have just updated to the 1.2.8 TJC firmaware along with the 1.0.19 for the motherboard and now my left extruder isnt moving. Is it the pinout that varies between the newer motherboards there is power for some reason it moved once all the way towards Ext. 2 but is doesnt seem to know what to do when homing .
Any input would be appreciated thank you !

No detection TLJ

Since version V 1.0.30 my machine starts beeping continuously at startup, only solution stopped ..... I once had this problem when compiling with the DWN screen by mistake ... so I think my TLJ screen is not recognized ....Someone would have any idea ?

Marlin 2.0 missing from TL-D3 repository.

Marlin 1.0.2-2 is about 5 years out of date (as of 2021).

Marlin 1.0 lacks many useful features such as linear advance (for non-linear advance of filament to predictively adjust extrusion pressure with changes in speed) to reduce oozing and under extrusion.
