analog-terminal-bell's Issues

Alternate iterm interfaces

Instead of using a custom build, iTerm2 suggests that you can use their python

Was your thought to use circuit python and that api to control the bell?

Would be nice to not have to extend iTerm

Alternative parts for discontinued ones

Ohai!

I'm trying to build this and it seems some of the parts listed are discontinued. In particular these 2:

https://www.digikey.ch/short/zfj702

I have very little knowledge about electronics and was hoping someone could tell me whether these alternatives I found are suitable:

Thanks for your help!

Solenoid doesn't fit in case

Maybe my 3D printer isn't top notch (UltiMaker 2), but I couldn't get the solenoid to fit.

I solved it by setting the GPIO output high, making the soleniod warm enough that it would soften the PLA and I could then force it down.

Video Link Is Broken

I watched the video from Twitter(It was so good😂) but the YouTube link in the README is broken. 🤫
