Tarantool is an in-memory computing platform consisting of a database and an application server.

It is distributed under BSD 2-Clause terms.

Key features of the application server:

Key features of the database:

  • MessagePack data format and MessagePack based client-server protocol.
  • Two data engines: 100% in-memory with complete WAL-based persistence and an own implementation of LSM-tree, to use with large data sets.
  • Multiple index types: HASH, TREE, RTREE, BITSET.
  • Document oriented JSON path indexes.
  • Asynchronous master-master replication.
  • Synchronous quorum-based replication.
  • RAFT-based automatic leader election for the single-leader configuration.
  • Authentication and access control.
  • ANSI SQL, including views, joins, referential and check constraints.
  • Connectors for many programming languages.
  • The database is a C extension of the application server and can be turned off.

Supported platforms are Linux (x86_64, aarch64), Mac OS X (x86_64, M1), FreeBSD (x86_64).

Tarantool is ideal for data-enriched components of scalable Web architecture: queue servers, caches, stateful Web applications.

To download and install Tarantool as a binary package for your OS or using Docker, please see the download instructions.

go-prompt's Issues

prompt: need to update some modules

For further correct use (for example in tt) need to update some modules.

In general, need to:

Add:

  • Support for multi-line commands
  • Support for tab characters in commands
  • Integration tests

Redesign:

  • Reverse-search in history feature

Fix:

  • Terminal failure after exiting

Improve;

  • Code health for further support

prompt: add tabs full support

Currently, tabs are being replaced with spaces and cannot be used in the prompt. Need to change this behavior and start processing them.

prompt: add literal mode

Ctrl-v must tell a prompt to not interpret the following character. Press Ctrl-v and Enter. ^M must be printed. Ctrl-Home print the following: ?[1;5H, but it must work only if Ctrl-v was pressed previously (Ctrl-v, Ctrl-home) and print: ^[[1;5H.

So, need to add a literal mode activated by Ctrl-v, which allows not to interpret special keys. And, if this mode is not enabled, need to interpret them correctly.

keybinds: need to fix multi-line behavior

-- ctrl-b stops on current line and does not move backward till beginning of multiline command. ctrl-f does not move forward after a line in multiline command. The same is for Alt-b/Alt-f
-- Home/End behavior differs from bash - goes to beginning/end of the command (not line), go prompt cursor goes to start/end of the line.
