Semi-automatic data update based on pandemic.hu

Dear Tamás,

I've found this website pandemic.hu which uses a visualisation webservice. They have a public service, therefore, you can access the data. It has to be manually copied but is is a little bit better than koronvirus.gov.hu.

You can find the author here: https://app.flourish.studio/@esotanc
I think, he also collects the data by hand. Maybe it worth to ask him.

There is an API service at flourish.

Best,
Robert

Estimated value of R in the compartmental model

The forecasts use a value of 2.69 for R by default, but the two methods for estimating R with a sliding window are in the ~1.4 range. Would it make sense to use these estimates of R as the default when displaying the forecast? Or am I missing something?

Offer

Hello!

I am programmer and I would like to offer my help. Please contact me where and how can you use my knowledge.

Automatic raw data update using the JHU CCSE dataset

I am not an R expert, but If you agree I would add an automatic parsing function to prepare the raw data from:

https://github.com/CSSEGISandData/COVID-19/tree/master/csse_covid_19_data/csse_covid_19_time_series

As far as I know, the officially reported numbers are updated daily from many countries including Hungary. Using this input the whole analytics could be done for each country, not only for Hungary. It would enable the prompt comparison of the regions/countries and the mitigation strategies.
