Events starting with * are refused in the yaml files
pipx failing
Hi, pipx install is failing for me:
$ sudo pipx install git+https://github.com/tahini/lttng-utils.git@master
No apps associated with package lttng-utils or its dependencies. If you are attempting to install a library, pipx
should not be used. Consider using pip or a similar tool instead.
Any suggestions please?
Small profiles.md describing how to make your own
This can help users define and share their own profiles.
Add contexts to profiles
Contexts could be userspace or kernel space
If user is not in tracing group, there should be a warning.
The warning should tell the user :
sudo usermod -a -G tracing

TypeError: expected str, bytes or os.PathLike object, not NoneType
This is due to os.getenv("PWD") line 33 of profile.py returning None (maybe related to https://bugs.python.org/issue30167)
It seems that it can be solved by replacing os.getenv("PWD") by os.getcwd() line 33 of profile.py and line 63 of lttng-record-trace.
The environnement:
- Ubuntu 18.04.1
- Python 3.6.7
- see requirements_global.txt and requirements_venv.txt for python packages
Add versioning to profiles.
Better before than after api break.
