yep exactly... thank you to be up to date ;)
so you use the "background link" ? what is your use case? in fact, i have the project to move it on the "devices list" screen .. and transform it to a "enable/disable" feature.

the foreground will be optional... i just do some tests right now.

I'm using iSee just as an universal button for the Tasker. My use case is:

  1. turn iSee on
  2. wait for pairing (this is quite unreliable because iTracking is killed by android sometime, especially after an update),
  3. push the button (Tasker is doing his job at this step)
  4. and turn iSee off (if I forgot it, iSee starts to beeping after a while which makes my wife angry. BTW is it possible to turn off iSee remotely? )

i think that i have the same device of yours but what is the tasker option?
for the 4. with iTracing2 you shouldn't have this issue.
sadly, i think that it is not possible to turn off your iSee remotely :-/

I'm using the Tasker (tasker.dinglisch.net) for many different things like invoke SmartHome triggers, opening garage gate, initiate voice calling or send automated messages. I've defined couple of default Tasker actions depending of active Tasker profile. I'd like to invoke such default action using iSee button without pulling the phone out of my pocket.

Typical day to day case is when I drive a car and I approach the gate. I open gate calling gate GSM number. At this point I have to take a phone, disable screen lock and click home screen's shortcut. I have to stop the car or do all that things with one hand and without looking ;). If I could use iSee button it will be much easier. To communicate with the Tasker I use intents and it works like a charm. It world be great to have iTracing2 registered as the Tasker plugin but I think it's Tasker team thing.

Point 4 is not iTracing2 issue. I mean that it starts beeping when I forgot to turn iSee off and I go out of range.

well .. you could call a specific intent on click for example.
presently, "custom action" supports only http(s):// url but it is really
easy to call an intent (and launch something like tasker) ..
i just need to know what kind of intent you could call.

otherwise, if you keep the background link "on" .. (by default on the last
beta release) you just have to clic on your iSee to interact with your
phone (there is an auto-pairing)
