defra-water-network-demo's Introduction

Getting Started with Create React App

This project was bootstrapped with Create React App.

Environment

You need the following environment variables set to make this app work:

REACT_APP_OS_API_KEY
REACT_APP_MAPBOX_TOKEN
REACT_APP_WATER_NETWORK_API_KEY

These can be placed in a file named .env.development in the root directory

Development

In the project directory, run:

npm install

then

npm start

Runs the app in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in your browser.

The page will reload when you make changes.
You may also see any lint errors in the console.

npm run format

Let prettier format the code

Deployment

npm run build

Builds the app for production to the build folder.
It correctly bundles React in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance.

The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
Your app is ready to be deployed!

See the section about deployment for more information.

defra-water-network-demo's Issues

Check maximum zoom level on map

I think from discussions around another EA application (Catchment data explorer?) that there is a maximum level of zoom that we are allowed to use with the OS background maps for publicly accessible sites. The most detailed zoom levels are only meant to be used when only PSGA-licensed organisations are viewing it. From playing around with the demo, I suspect we are using all available zoom layers. Andrew or Jamie probably remember the details.
