Not sure how to handle missing channels, can either be order based, or might have to include None as a placeholder.

Given an image list, need to dynamically create subplots depending on the number of channels.

Given a more than 3 channels there's the option to plot an RGB image of 3 of the channels, and then a grayscale image of all the channels separately.

OR:

Just plot all the channels separately as grayscale.

Would be nice to have both, though the first option would require selecting which of the three channels to use in the RGB image and in which order.

Ideally want to be able to click on a point within a scatter plot and open the corresponding image (split by channels and interactive) in the same window.
