orbispro's Introduction

OrbisPro

Media center and game launcher for Windows in the style of PS4's UI.
The goal of this project is to build an entire Shell replacement for Windows with the focus on gaming.
This Shell replacement can be used on any Desktop, Laptop or Portable device that runs Windows 10 or 11 x64.
Beta releases do not disable any Windows features like the Taskbar or Explorer, they're both still accessible in any case.

orbispro's Issues

Can't hit [NEXT] button on initial setup.

I've tried clicking it, using a ps4 controller, using the enter/spacebar key, updating to beta 0.2.
I can't seem to figure it out.

[Edit 1]
I am also not running it on the C drive if that could be an issue. I tried it on C but it's giving the same problem.

[Edit 2]
Fixed it.
Pressing x on my ds4 controller didn't work but pressing x on the keyboard moved pass the screen. That's actually kind of weird. I hope this helps someone else.

Crashes when checks installed games

i've had an issue that the resulotion was in the rigth corner, it got fixed, hurraay!!, but when it checks the installed games, it crashes

Infinite "Collecting installed games" and filling filepage several gigs

I can't get after install step "Collecting installed games" I do have some games on Program Files, but it is stuck.

I left it last night thinking it needed its time, but +50GB and a full night its definitively not the way it should work.

While is processing, it slowly fills my drive (first slow ~1GB per hour, then faster ~1GB per minute after an hour) and keeps it like that until my drive is full and crashes.

Also noticing high RAM usage, currently 14GB after an hour scanning games:

I am now realizing it is filling filepage so thats why my drive is filling
