In reusing the expression parsing code in the Finance activity, we found a few problems.

sugarlabs/finance-activity#24 (comment) and sugarlabs/finance-activity@4dca761 explains further.

Suggested actions;

• separate the expression parser into a different file,
• add the tests to the parser, and test,
• minimise the differences between Finance and Chart expression parser.

If you enter a fraction, say 3/4, Charts accepts it as a 3. It always takes the first number.

Kids usually learn fractions before decimal numbers, it might make sense to support it. Even otherwise, we could prompt "fractions not supported".

On the left of the display is a narrow column with "Labe" title. Perhaps it should be wider.

Some translations are lost when downloading replacement files from translate.sugarlabs.org; as if there are local translations in the activity yet to be pushed into translate.sugarlabs.org.

Once this is resolved, translations can be updated in the activity.
