The "More Library Icons" plugin breaks the layout of the "sort by" feature, additional displayed text is out of place and often cuts into the game posters.
It's a beautiful plugin but sorting by anything but Alphabetical, Friends Playing and Steam Review looks terrible.
most if not all css loader themes don't seem to work anymore.
Hi, I am trying to make some modification on Clean Game View but encountered a problem, hope you can help me.
Do you know which part of the HTML creates the background of the circled part of in the screenshot in game view?
What I ultimately want to create is something like this:
I made it through GIMP because my skills on CSS is not enough to figure out how... I want to make the "start game bar" have the same background as whatever follows, so it connects to the contents below, while still have the game art image being in the size as we have right now (100vh - bottom bar
), so when I enter game view from Switch Like Home
the size of the art stays unchanged.
I think I need to find where the background is and put a margin-top: -80px
so it gets back under the start game bar again without changing the size of the game art. However, I failed finding it anywhere. What I got was a blurred version of the game art, which I think is to add some variant to the background between games.
If you know where the actual background (dark blue) is and how it is positioned, please guide me. Thank you so much!!
Sorry if this is not the correct place for this
I just wanted to suggest an option to select a random background image from my collection due to having so many more backgrounds than screens on the deck.
Hey suchmeme, new to this github thang so please bare with me. I wanted to report a small bug with the clean gameday view plugin for steam deck. The bug is when you are in the gameday view interface and scroll down, the top bar does not always come down properly only on some occasions it does when it feels like it but not all of the time. Get back to me as soon as you can.โค๏ธ
Clean Gameview isn't working on games and programs added from my disk. What's even more curious is that after turning it off and on again, it works properly! It's very annoying honestly to switch this every time I turn on my deck. It requires scrolling through right side menu, then scrolling to CSS addon in decky, then searching for this and then exit, that's why I'm reporting this. It seems like all it needs is a delay in launching or something maybe(?) Because it's working no problem after this, it's only acting weird specifaclly on first start, on non-steam games
Currently when you add HLTB (How long to beat) Decky Plugin, it slightly shifts the Clean Gameview sizing, and lowers down the "Play button" a bit, showing a bit of bug.
HLTB is a very useful tool, along with Clean Gameview making things neater. It would be nice to have compatibility for both.
A 'Colored Toggle' for each primary color would be nice: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple/Indigo, Gray, Inverse (White/Black or Black/White) et cetera.
When scrolling down quickly with the "More Library Icons" theme, the column you've selected changes, for instance you can be in the very left column, then scroll quickly, and now you've shifted one over for no reason.
Looks like the starting launch
text conflicts with the last played/hours played bar, would be great to have that bar disappear like vanilla behaviour. Screenshot to issue linked

As far as i can tell clean game view removes the steam cloud indicator entirely. Would be great to get this back on the more details/game info tab
The volume menu coloring is a bit broken :3
It basically shows the transparent part over the non transparent.
I can send screenshots if needed

Hi there!
The SteamGridDB Decky Loader plugin recently updated to add an "Adjust Logo Position" function. However, the Clean Gameview theme in CSS Loader overrides a majority of the adjustments made.
With Clean Gameview enabled, a logo will only move between the bottom left and bottom center anchor points. Resizing the logo has no affect.
My assumption is that this is because the CSS injection is happening after the plugin's adjustments, so nothing changes visually except the horizontal position.
Would it be possible to make the Clean Gameview theme compatible with SGDB's size / position adjustments to a game's logo?
Thanks!
(I couldn't find a repository for the theme, so I hope it's ok to open this issue here instead... but let me know if I need to move this elsewhere!)
Edit: Thanks for the code fix!
There's a few bugs in the new preview update (i can't confirm if this is present already in stable or beta):
Steam game using the clean gameview theme, steam cloud enable:
Non-steam game using the clean gameview theme, steam cloud enable:
Steam game using the clean gameview theme:
Non-steam game using the clean gameview theme:
Say I go into my Library and go to a category such as Non-Steam. with More Library Icons enabled sorted in Alphabetical view I scroll down and some of my icons are completely missing (typically the last most few). Fixes as soon as More Library Icons is disabled.
When launching a game and clicking the Steam Button, the inner menu for "Resume game, controller settings" - and so forth have a few spots where the menu is still the original Steam Deck blue
edit: also I believe the confirmation menu for closing a game is the Steam blue as well
The file viewer does not show images or any files. Even after given the files an folders full permissions.
I am on
CSS Version: 1.7.1
stable version of steamOS: 3.4.8
Hey!
I know I could be dumb but isn't this repo in production?
Hey!
Could somebody basically overhaul the whole repo? Currently as an example the readme file says this is an test repo.
Incorporating Github CI would also be good!
I can do that if you want

This is less a issue and more just another possibly fixable blue toggle. I was also wondering if it would be possible to give options to leave the "Play" button and "Friends" button unchanged by the custom/selectable colors. I obviosly don't know how much of a ask this is so please don't feel pressure if it's too much of a hassle.
After going from Home to Library inputs will select things from the home screen. Going from Home > Library > Settings things in the library will be selected instead of the settings. Lowering the speed or turning the theme off stops this.
No images chosen via the "Open Background" option applies that image. Admittedly, a lack of documentation makes it unclear if there's a necessary format, name scheme, resolution, or otherwise.

Switch Like Home: half of the friends buttons come up into the screen after the update
