Dependabot couldn't find a requirements.txt for this project

Dependabot couldn't find a requirements.txt for this project.

Dependabot requires a requirements.txt to evaluate your project's current Python dependencies. It had expected to find one at the path: /.github/workflows/requirements.txt.

If this isn't a Python project, or if it is a library, you may wish to disable updates for it in the .dependabot/config.yml file in this repo.

View the update logs.

Flake8 / pre-commit / nox review

Delete unused flake8 notifications, turn pre-commit dependencies into poetry dependencies and adapt nox to running pre-commit with this dependencies as local hooks.

Strict mypy

Add typing, stubs and more strict mypy settings.

Remove pytest-cov

Run Coverage.py directly instead of via the pytest plugin.

The main reasons for this removal is that it reduces complexity by removing a layer of indirection. We don't need the plugin, and I prefer a slightly longer, but more explicit session definition.

Another reason for the removal is that this makes it easier to move coverage reporting into a separate Nox session. Nox itself does this, and uses session.notify to report after the test suite. This may also be useful for Codecov integration in the Tests workflow. All of this requires some more research though.
