GeoIP2 contains many more IP addresses than v1 (I assume this mod suses the old ddb). Here is a tutorial for converting from geoip to mysql long http://davidkane.net/installing-new-geoip-database-sql-database/

Also the query load data is possibly disabled on many hosts. Stumped me for weeks trying to figure this out on a site few months ago.

And lastly, you can use the buffer to add on country flags to the whos online page.

I wanted to thank you for making the Elk-GeoIP addon. I needed a country block script and this is why I use ElkArte now. Unfortunately, I have encountered a problem...

The script blocks registration just fine, but if a user, let's say, creates an account with a proxy/vpn/sock (therefore with another IP location) and he can than log in with that created account with his real (banned) IP.

What I'm trying to say is that you should apply the script to also function for the Log in area, not only the Register one.

Also, this is just extra. Would it be possible to to block TOR users form accessing the site, or at least applying the same ban script to them.
