Spring boot application does not get shut down if you are using ScheduledExecutorService to start Kafka server

I am have a spring boot application that sends/receive messages to Apache Kafka server. The project using ScheduledExecutorService to start/stop apache kafka server. All the things work well till I try to shutdown the server using 'curl -X POST http://localhost:9012/shutdown'. On running this command the spring container closes however the ScheduledExecutorService task still exists.

Authenticating using SecurityContextHolder breaks Rest Assured Authentication

SUMMARY
Spring Data JPA Repository calls can only be authenticated in a integration test after a RestAssured call has been authenticated.

IMPACT
I can always use RestAssured given() to perform the setup, but it's a lot quicker to do it with direct calls to the repository. However the current semantics are confusing. For example when authenticating first with RestAssured, then the SecurityContext, and again with RestAssured, the test will pass (Last example).

EXAMPLE
In order to use Spring Data JPA repositories in combination with Spring Security (The starter) inside integration tests while performing setup, I first need to authenticate using the SecurityContextHolder as shown below:

However this breaks RestAssured's ability to authenticate. The above test fails with an AccessDeniedException. The below test will pass:

This is only the case when authenticating with the SecurityContextHolder prior to authenticating with RestAssured. For example this test passes:

@enableautoconfiguration in 2 projects with different packages doesn't detect entity objects in one of the projects

i have 2 spring boot projects, project1 dependent on project2 , both projects have @enableautoconfiguration with different packages.

project1:
package com.staples.mpe;
@componentscan
@EnableAutoConfiguration
public class Application { }

project2:
package com.staples.em.magnus.audit;
@configuration
@componentscan
@EnableAutoConfiguration
public class Application { }

when i run project1, its detecting entity objects in project1, but not detecting entity objects in project2 as @EnableAutoConfiguration in project1 is getting kicked off.

is there any way to detect project2 entity objects which are in package com.staples.em.magnus.audit.domain , without changing package name for entity objects in project2 .

it is able to detect entity objects in project2 when i change the package name to com.staples.mpe.domain, but i dont want to change the package name.

Modify Content Security Policy to allow LiveReload when devtools enabled

When Spring Boot's devtools are enabled it would be nice if we could automatically modify the Content Security Policy to allow LiveReload. This will be especially important when Spring Security 4.1 is released which will provide a simple DSL for adding CSP (currently it is only supported through generic header support).

logging.path not mapped to LOG_PATH in 1.2

In 1.1.9.RELEASE logging.path given in application.properties (or command line with --) was mapped to LOG_PATH system property in LoggingApplicationListener. This made LOG_PATH available for usage in custom logging config file (logback.xml in my case).

In 1.2.0.RELEASE the mapping (ENVIRONMENT_SYSTEM_PROPERTY_MAPPING in LoggingApplicationListener of 1.1.9.RELEASE) seem to have been removed, causing LOG_PATH not being available in custom logging config file.

Is the above described change in behavior intentional?

whitelabel error page vulnerability

Hello.
There is an SPEL injection problem (would consider it vulnerability) with whitelabel error page.
If encountering an error message that shows the used value (e.g. type conversion between string and a boolean) and the used value contains SPEL expression, it will be evaluated server side.
I know, the recommendation is to disable the whitelabel, but I suppose this should still get fixed.
