Since some hours i can not connect to the Mupibox via Wifi

Tried:
-Restart
-tested different SSID (2.4G and 5G)
-Tried to connect with my Iphones hotspot function

Its strange that in Display Libary menu, it shows still the last IP adress.

Workaround:
.no workaround found

Spotify account informations can't be deleted to use a different account.

When i click on "Reset Spotify-Connection" i got a promt that all informations are deleted but if i open "Step 1" an further, all informations are still in place an even if i try to add the new account informations a got an error unter Step 4.

Can an option include to set the playtime limit for day/week as parentcontrol

It would be great if MuPiBox Software supports as an output device a sonos box (like Sonos Kids Controller https://github.com/Thyraz/Sonos-Kids-Controller)

When loading the home.page page the network.json should be loaded, so that I can check the "onlinestate" of the Raspberry Pi before creating the view. Apparently the file is not loaded fast enough, because when calling the variable "network" an "undefined" is output.

Da der idle shutdown aktuell nicht wirklich funktioniert, bleibt die Box auch gerne mal 10h Stunden oder auch länger an ohne etwas abzuspielen. Wenn man dann etwas abspielen möchte, geht das nicht:

1. Fall: Es wird eine Google Seite mit irgendeinem Fehler angezeigt.
2. Fall: Die Oberfläche sieht normal aus, Titel können aber generell nicht abgespielt werden. Ähnlich als wäre keine Wifi/Internetverbindung vorhanden.
   Ein Neustart behebt das Problem natürlich.

I had two mupiboxes running for some time without an issue. Both were updated some weeks(?) ago to 3.1.2 and worked without any issues.

Now some days ago, one of the two boxes, i am unable to select any music. The screen shows all media and the touchscreen itself is fully functional, i.e. i can scroll, change category, enter new wlan credententials. But pointing at any media, just nothing happens. Also pointing at the title, no TTS does happen. Strangely, the same applies to the browser application from my pc. I can scroll, but clicking on any media, just nothing happens. The second box works with now flaws.

It is possible to go above the maximum allowed volume (e.g. 80%). If you press the "+" symbol slowly, not more than 80% can be reached. However, if you quickly increase the volume from e.g. 50% (press the "+" symbol several times very quickly), more than the maximum allowed volume is possible.

Anfänglich hat der idle shutdown für mich funktioniert. Nach einer Änderung von 5 min auf 10 min funktioniert es leider nicht mehr. Auch eine Änderung zurück auf 5 Minuten bringt keine Besserung.

How to recreate:

• open the setup menu

• click on +

• click on any imput field

• write a word. t.ex. abcde

You see in input field: edcba

To combine the best features of MuPi- and Phonie-Box it would be great, if playlists, radio channels etc. could also be selected via RFID chip. This would enable the MuPi-Box also for smaller childs, which are not able to use a touch screen, yet :)

the MuPiBox is really fine and works nice, there are 2 pionts I would have to add.
1.
Support for wsdd like this so I can see this device inside my Windows Network, since the SMB V1 support is dropped by Windows 10, works well on the Dietpi .
2.
Adding this Workaround that prevents the popping from I2S Soundcards (aplay.service)

borrowed there, keeps the Audiocard online so there are no pop sound if the card is reactivated.

There two issues with Spotify playback independent from used Mupibox version.

1. Start Mupi, play Spotify track, stop, let Mupibox untouched for several hours, try to play again - > no playback

After a restart, playback is working flawless.

2. Do not use Spotify for a week (maybe less). Start Mupibox, try to play a Spotify track- > no playback

Only a new Spotify config setup will bring Spotify back to work.

If activated, another Tab in the browser opens, but nothing happens.
The load and temp of the pi increases.

Ich habe 20 % als Startlautstärke eingestellt. Nach einem Start steht die Lautstärke auch manchmal auf 20%, dann aber wieder auf 25%, 30% oder auch 35%.
Ich vermute das ist nicht gewollt..

The other one works with the headphone jack.
Can you give a short explanation please how I can change it?
I fiddled around with phoniebox for one year and have little experience in the config how this worked...

habe eben die neueste 64bit Variante geladen und auf die SD Karte des RPi4 geschrieben.

Die add_wifi.json funktioniert nicht.
Sie sieht folgendermaßen aus:

Es fehlt die abschließende Klammer?
Es ist aber auch egal ob mit oder ohne. Die Box verbindet sich nicht.

Auch wenn ich das WLAN direkt in der Box über die Oberfläche eintrage hat es keine Wirkung.

Workaround:
Verbindung über eth-Schnittstelle herstellen und WLAn-Verbindung mittels dietpi-config herstellen. Das funktioniert.

I wanzet to install a second Box in the Dame Network.
When i ran the Installation everything worked fine but the Display is showing the Content of the first Box.

so i assume that i have to change the servername at some Place. Does anybody know where i have to adapt?

Eine frisch aufgesetzte Box mit importierten Einstellungen startet bei mir in ca 16 Sekunden. Nach nun 3 Wochen sind daraus 46 Sekunden geworden, ohne dass eine Änderung vorgenommen wurde.

if you move the slider of the display brightness in the display settings i.e. to 20% and click on submit, it shows in the "saved"-Message the value "brightness: 51" (which is 20% of 255). The slider also slides to 51% instead of 20% after submit was clicked.
I think there is a cast missing between 255 based and 100 based percentages.

In der Version 3.3.0 können Radiostreams nicht mehr hinzugefügt werden.
Egal welcher Inhalt in der WEB Gui ingetragen wird, der Button "ADD" bleibt inaktiv / disabled

I want to reset one of my mupiboxes and did a fresh install using the links from mupibox.de.

I downloaded the current dietpi bullseye release (which dates to 31st of july) along with the current dietpi startup script.
The install did not show any issues (at least i didn't notice any) and the box starts, with the screen with touch is available and the webui is functional.
But the screen only shows that the backend is not running and, indeed, on port 8200 is nothing present.

Checking the install script, i found the install for the backend which requires npm.
So i tested manually installing npm, but it consistently fails with the following error:

in 3.0.1 adding files via Samba to the respective folders works but the "add media" menu only shows Spotify and radio streams options for adding.

Hi there, first of all, I wanted to say that I love this project, thanks for all your work!
I have an issue: I added various music sources to the mupibox and everything was fine. Then I added one more, they appeared in the "magic screen" (click 10 times), but not in the music / radio menus. Could it be due to the missing indexes, see screenshot?

Initially the TTS language is set to English. If, before changing this default, one of the titles is read out and then the language is changed, the old TTS audio file will be used, since its stored locally (/home/dietpi/MuPiBox/tts_files/)

Presumably the TTS files are stored locally to avoid having to access the TTS API again (which most likely only allows limited access) when playing repeatedly.

Maybe it would be possible to attach an identifier to the TTS file, which is updated as soon as this language identifier differs from the currently set TTS language.

das Hinzufügen von Titeln mithilfe der Spotify-Query ist nicht mehr möglich.
Aufgefallen ist es, weil plötzlich einige Titel nicht mehr auf der Box waren.

artist:"Das Original-Hörspiel zum Disney" hatte bis vor einiger Zeit wunderbar die ganzen Hörspiele der Disneyfilme gefiltert.
Die gleiche Suche liefert mittlerweile keinerlei Ergebnis mehr.

Das Beispiel auf der Homepage funktioniert auch nicht.
artist:“LEGO Ninjago“ AND album:“Folge“

Weiteres Beispiel:
artist:"PJ Masks" AND album:"Folge" liefert ebenso nichts mehr.

While trying to use the on-screen keyboard in the wifi screen the letters are appearing in the wrong sequence (right to left).

is it possible to add the display of track name while playing internet radio?

Wenn die Mupibox während des Abspielens herunter gefahren wird, soll nach dem nächsten Boot die Wiedergabe von der alten Stelle fortgesetzt werden.
Weiterhin soll die GUI des Players geladen werden.

in Radio url´s often you need a underscore. That symbol is missing in keyboard.

After Mupibox has been set to pause, it can resume to play the paused track on it's own.

Difficult to reproduce, no logdata yet. Observed on two different boxes, both with 3.1.2

Ich habe ein Problem, welches nur sporadisch auftritt.

Nach dem Starten kommt die weiße Cromebrowser-Seite "This Site can't be reached" - diese verschwindet nach einiger Zeit wieder und das normale Userinterface (Mupibox) erscheint dann.

Nachtrag
Durch ein undervoltage hatte ich den Blitz. Hierdurch wird ja auch die CPU gedrosselt.
Mit avoid_warnings=2 könnte der Blitz ausgeblendet und das CPU drossel unterbunden werden. Die oben beschriebene Fehlermeldung tritt nun nur noch kurz auf - aber ist halt noch da

Ich möchte im Player einen Sleeptimer setzen können.
Optionen:

• 15 Minuten
• 30 Minuten
• 60 Minuten
• Am Ende des Tracks
• Am Ende des Albums / Hörspiel

If I update the mupibox from the admininterface, the version number doesn't change for the box it still believe its the same version I original installed with the SD Card. In my case the Box is still 3.1.9 but I allready updated to version 3.2.4 with the admininterface

Since the last update to Version 2.1.0 the "music" category shows the same items as "audiobooks". The artists, which are saved under "music" are not shown any more. "Clean and update music database" did not help.

da ich bei den aenderungen gesehen habe, dass man nun das dietpi bookworm image nehmen soll, koennte bitte unter der anleitung auch der link zu dem betreffenden image aktualisiert/ergaenzt werden?
