I think adding some ambient sounds could add to the atmosphere.

Suggestions

• Street noises from outside [1] [2]
• Ceiling fan sound [1] [2]
• Hum coming from the fridges [1] [2]
• Maybe an old radio (at low volume) [1] [2]

Some rudimentary form of lip sync would be nice. Or at least, some animation showing a persons' mouth move whenever the players mic is active.

We need to be able to insert different characters into the scene (at least 2).

To prevent the 'exorcist effect', the body should start to rotate with the head after a threshold rotation (90 degrees left or right) has been hit. Probably it would look best with some easing function applied to it. Bear in mind that then the head rotation will have to be negatively offset with this body rotation (otherwise it will have rotated too far)

It might be cool to use an approach where the torso would rotate first (for the first say, 45 degrees after the 90 degree threshold) and only after that the lower body would rotate to stay in line. Many games do this. Hope I'm making sense.

The scene can be improved

• Create model for front wall (with door and window)
• Add more products and other items to the store
• Camera colour filters to create a more unified look
• Add skybox (can be seen through the window)
• Create some sort of exterior view which can be seen through the window
• Retexture the US flag to a Mexican one
• Make more interesting lighting
