amos-web's Introduction

πŸ‘‹ I'm Amos

I'm trying to meet people that would sort the web's learning resources. If you'd like to help out, go over to amos.ms and submit a Review for your favorite learning resources 😝

Amos

Psst Psst 🀫 The guys from SF said they'll teach me search when we have 10,000 "data points". And if we can't get there they'll get rid of me! 😱 They call this "iteration".. 😳

Amos

So I need your help! Introduce me to your friends. My address is amos.ms, World Wide Web... Let's keep this product alive πŸ˜‰

Amos

Check out solvio.org for more info.

amos-web's Issues

Routing

I think we should have:
/ - Search view (slightly different for auth & Nauth)
/signup - (Nauth only)
/signup/email (Nauth only)
/login (Nauth only)
/notifications (Auth only)

(Screens that are auth or Nath only should redirect to / if user is authed/nauthed)

As for reviews, we currently have (each point is a screen)
Authenticated:

  • links
  • topics
  • learning requirements

Not authenticated:

  • review
  • links
  • topics
  • learning requirements

I.e. we have one β€˜introductory’ screen for not authenticated users. I think the best is

/review - if authed, it will redirect to review/links
/review/links - slightly different authed/nauthed
review/topics
review/requirements

Not their own routes:
signup success
review success (slightly different for auth/Nauthed)

Create layout

  • Navigation
Ideally should be as wireframes on desktop & tablet. And as tabs on bottom of screen on mobile (like Spotify).
  • Single-column screens
  • Multi-column screens
On mobile (and tablet?) they will be one column ofc

Finish Front-end

Things that I need help with on the frontEnd:

  • Forgot password link (see Zeplin)
  • rename Notifications to Profile and add text:
    • "Unfortunately I can't show your profile just yet."
    • "Don't leave there's work to do 🧐"
    • Logout button
  • Make Review screen like in Zeplin
    • Maybe

Review screen: structure

Structure:
As for reviews, we currently have (each point is a screen)
Authenticated:

links
topics
learning requirements

Not authenticated:

review
links
topics
learning requirements

Finish Front-end

Things that I need help with on the frontEnd:

  • Forgot password link (see Zeplin)
  • rename Notifications to Profile and add text:
    • "Unfortunately I can't show your profile just yet."
    • "Don't leave there's work to do 🧐"
    • callToAction: 'Log out' Button
  • Make Review screen like in Zeplin
    • [Optional] Perform validation on URL with avatar-less AmosChat
      • "That doesn't seem to be a valid link?"
    • When a link/topic/prerequisite is added, add a new input/input/input set below (respectively)
    • Rename learningRequirements -> Prerequisites
    • Auto-complete for Topics and Prerequisites (same endpoint)
    • Checkmark on autocomplete validation
    • Radio buttons
  • Mobile responsiveness
  • Logic: state/mockAPI/real API
  • Deploy (talk to @anistark )

That's it! I and John might be able to help out too!
