MCS-51 Architecture

Intel MCS-51是Intel公司于1980年推出的8051奠定了嵌入式应用的单片微型计算机的经典体系结构，8051采用超大规模集成电路技术把具有数据处理能力的**处理器CPU随机存储器RAM、只读存储器ROM、多种I/O口和中断系统、定时器/计时器等功能（可能还包括显示驱动电路、脉宽调制电路、模拟多路转换器、A/D转换器等电路）集成到一块硅片上构成的一个小而完善的计算机系统。

51系列是基本型，包括8051、8751、8031、8951这四个机种，区别在于片内程序储存器。8051为4KB ROM，8751为4KB EPROM，8031片内无程序储存器，8951为4KB EEPROM。除此，其他性能结构一样，有片内128B RAM，2个16位定时器/计数器，5个中断源。

52系列是增强型，有8032、8052、8752、8952四个机种。8052的ROM为8KB，RAM为256B，比8051多了一个定时器/计数器，增加了一个中断源。

典型应用在最底层Level 1的控制器中
