Introduction

Chemical Exchange is a very lightweight progression/questing modpack based around the mods Alchemistry and ProjectE. This pack puts a new spin on the typical ProjectE experience; in this modpack the only items you can exchange with the transmutation capabilities of ProjectE are chemical elements (oxygen, hydrogen, iron, etc). The general progression of this pack draws inspiration from my other modpack Antimatter Chemistry, so if you've played that pack this pack may feel like a condensed version of it.

Coming in at about 100 mods, this pack loads quick and performs well on potato computers, but still remains a unique hand-crafted and engaging experience that can provide dozens of hours of fun. Change Transmutation table items?

I'd like to be able to place all items into the transmutation table, is there a mod I can remove to achieve this?

I know it will change how the mod pack is meant to be played and that is what I want.

windows freeze on break an block of alchemistry

Hi, i when break an block of alchemistry, my Windows crash and the all explorer won't answer to the shortcut.
I will alocate 4Gb of ram sure 6 gb of ram, i have a intel core i3 7th gen.

No Recipe for Nuclear Craft Enderium Cooler

Hi,

just want to ask is there a reason for not having a recipe for the Enderium Cooler for NC? That is the only one which doesn't have a recipe.

Change NC config

Please change the Nuclearcraft config the same way as you did for Antimatter.
Dont know if you changed anything in the config yet but otherwise might be easy to just copy paste the whole config file :D

Coins / Money Disappeared

I completed a couple quests (1,000x Hydrogen and 1,000x Oxygen) and went to buy something from the store, but my coin / money count was zero. I had roughly 20,000+ before the quests were turned in. Not a biggie, I can rebuild, but definitely a surprise! Thank you for this modpack. :)

EDIT: This happened while playing on version 1.0. I will update to 1.1.

Speedy hopper I Quest Isn't Available

So I was watching a YouTuber play this modpack and I found it pretty entertaining so I tried it for myself. After a while, I finished the hopper quest and then I had seen the YouTuber having a speedy hopper I quest so I didn't even check to see if I had it. I made the speedy hopper and as I went to get the reward, I noticed that there was no speedy hopper quest for me. I thought it might have been a glitch so I restarted my game and nothing. It's still blank after the hopper quest. Does anyone know why this is?

0.18 16XTechnetium main quest is repeatable

On the main quests tab, the 16x Technetium main quest for 500 coins is repeatable, but does not say it should be. This might be intentional as part of the rework in 0.16, but this was not the case in 0.15. Started a new world after updating 0.18 today and noticed this.

Bonsai Power Flowers

I'm very excited to see the bonsai power flowers as a part of this modpack, because I think they are a useful and convenient addition to Project E. Sadly, I don't want to use them, when playing. The reason is they are neither refundable (they have no emc value) nor upgradeable. That means making a bonsai version will have a finite usefulness and the emc used to create it is bound indefinitely, while manually upgrading a full size multiblock power flower is possible.
My suggestion would be to either give them an emc value or an upgrade recipe, for example a simple "craft a higher tier bonsai out of three lower ones", ofc not including the final one.

Didn't have any crafting recipe

EIO Charger
Should've allow it for alternative charging the certus quartz and allow it charging a stack directly rather than using some kind of hoppers and chest

Enderman Head
Although they're oredicted with itemSkull they can't be used for other recipe except for EIO

Silver and Emerald
Add a alternative way to get them like decomposing andesite to get silver and use magenta concrete to get vanadium

ME Interface and Chemical Combiner

If you try to use the ME Interface with the Chemical Combiner it will try to push all recipes in at once even if you select "Blocking Mode" on the interface resulting in the recipe not working as there is too meany items from different patterns.

Repair Talisman does not repair Diamond Wand

Hi,

the repair talisman from ProjectE works fine in chest or inventory to repair all the items except the diamond wand. The Stone Wand and Iron Wand (better building wands) get repaired but not the diamond wand. Is this issue related to Project E or your modpack.

Playing Version 1.3

|Suggestion| Coal Block Recipe for Alchemistry Combiner

Requesting a recipe in the Alchemistry chemical combiner to make 1 coal block, with the recipe being 8 carbon moles per input slot (the equivalent of 1 coal per input slot). This would greatly increase the speed of coal automation for the Project EX matter creation.

Fusion and Fission multiblocks

This is not a bug, but a quality of life request. Mobs are spawning in the space between casing and core. They are driving me nuts!

|Suggestion| Quest Reorganization for NC Progression Clarity

Attached is a suggestion for the realignment of mid-game quests pertaining to NuclearCraft for added clarity as to the progression and requirements for these quests.

Added 16x Boron quest to address boron acquisition.

Added Nuclearcraft Fission Controller quest to clarify that making and developing the fission reactor is necessary for quest progression, especially for those whom have no experience with Nuclearcraft.

Added Fuel Reprocessor quest to further clarify the process of making elements for mid-game quests.

Game Keeps Crashing

When ever I open the game and try to play it will always crash and say game crashed

Applied Energistics with EMC Link

If you have a Personal/Refined EMC link with set output and AE storage bus on that the output items shows up in AE but if you try to use it like with autocrafting Minecraft freeze.

Crafting Chem Ex tweaks coin rewards

Crafting the coins could be a cool way of reducing the amount of coins you have in your system.
For example: Crafting 1x 200 coin would be crafted with 2x 100 coin etc.

Neptunium element and ingot are useless.

Once you convert Neptunium from isotope into an element (for quest) it can only be converted back to EMC or crafted into useless ingot (which cannot be split to isotopes).
Is that intended?

Server Setup (.bat) could not find the specified path

Trying to set up a server for the pack. Tried running the server.bat and it echoed "The system can not find the path specified. There was an error code settings.cfg_not_found"

No items were changed or removed from the folder.

Downloaded from the curse forge website under the additional files tab.

Server Lag Spike in singleplayer

Playing in singleplayer world, when try to craft something with AE system connected to EMC Refined Link that have something with low emc value (making have millons of this iten in the AE system) cause a massive server lag, taking to 1 to 5 minutes to come back.

Slime Spawn Eggs and Zombie Villagers

Slime Spawn eggs (and Guardian eggs too) are unable to be made -- is this on purpose?

I guess I'll need to search for a slime chunk...

Are Zombie Villagers disabled from spawning?

(if so, any chance of adding them or making them able to spawn on cursed earth?)

EMC exploit start game

I have discovered that by creating stone in the Chemical Combiner and then putting that stone into the chemical dissolver and then putting the output of that into the EMC table you end up with more than you started with.

Vector plates

Currently vector plates dont allow mobs to spawn on polluted earth

Topografy Command Block Command doesnt work

The command to create the Island doesnt work for some reason.

The Message "Looks like you don't have an island. Let's make you one! This may take a few seconds." shows up, but then nothing happens.

No Doc?

There is not any documentation how to install this mod or how to use this mod. like my forge doesnt even recognize the .zip file that i put in the mods folder. i tried putting and replacing everything in the overrides folder aswell still doesnt work. please tell me how to install this.

Need a way to make Project E(x) matters other than crafting

Right now the only way to make these (needed for progression) is crafting them all the way up from coal. Normally they have EMC value so you can make them from EMC. Instead of making them have EMC value you could make them craftable with the combiner from the elements they dissolve into. As you mentioned these would need higher (possibly very high) EMC than 1024 which is the current max for element EMC.

I am unable to launch the game

When I try to launch, it says that the file contents differ from what was expected. I am playing on windows 10. I have no experience with java mods, so it's probably something really simple. I appreciate any input!

Slotfiller

Could you make slotfillers worth 1 or 2 EMC because later in the game the player might run into the problem of needing 100k of them and there easy to craft but you need a lot of them. The problem would be solved by adding EMC because of the personal EMC link block

Framed Drawer contents gets voided on break

When I break a framed drawer with contents inside, the contents inside are not being kept, and the items dont drop out either. (I just lost 229,376 iron from a fully upgraded framed drawer due to the bug...)

Please fix : )
