f1-dash's Issues

[Feature Request] Map shadow cars for pit-stops

Hello,
thank you for the website, it's really useful to follow races!

One suggestion for the track map: would be possible to add ghost/shadow cars for pit-stops?

For each race you should add somewhere in the backend a parameter with the time lost with pit-stop.
Then there should be a collapsable driver list where you can select for each driver ghost/shadow car in front and/or behind.
Once enabled, it will show a "shadow/lighter" icon on the map that it's running X secs ahead or behind the real car, so you can immediately know if a driver pits where will come out.

Step 2 would be to have two other parameters, one for VSC and another for SC and in case VSC or SC is out, you will automatically switch to that time instead of the standard one.

Thanks!

Old race info should be reset

I checked live timing when first practice session started. I have seen that the information from the previous race has not been reset. I think that is a small bug in the front.

You can check here the info in the screenchot.

  1. Position change at the start of the Row
  2. Race laps counter
  3. Team radios messages
  4. Race info messages

DRS Enabled all the time

I have been checking the DRS status in the UI and is always enabled. I don't know if this is a bug. In this screenshot you can see that is enabled in a position without DRS.

PD: I have seen that the live timing is stopping in the first practice

Access previous race data for feature work

I'm trying to look into the code base to simulate a race using some local data, but I can't seem to access the data from a recent race using the the script in data-saver (the data returned isn't for the whole race). Can I only access this data during a race? And if so, is there a place we can access the archive data from the instance that you're running?

Add Speed to the live timing

Hello, i show this live timing. Is really good, i think you can improve it adding the current speed of the cars. Also will be a good option the max speed to compare the different cars.

Website does not show any data

I don't know why but whenever I try to access the page it keeps infinitedly loading and I can't access the data. I tried, though, to access it a couple of hours ago and I could, but I try now and nothing.
I don't believe it's a problem related to my Internet connection as I got it connected via Ethernet cable.

This is what I get everytime I go to the page and no matter the times I refresh, it won't load

Repeating Crashes & Performance issues when there is a lot of traffic

We are currently experiencing a lot of issues when there is a on-going session and there is traffic on the website.

Two issues I see are:

  • bun crashing with errors I can't fully explain
  • using too much bandwidth as f1-dash-data currently sends the full state of timing after every update, which is a design design I regret...

Here are some of the logs regarding the bun crashes:

Regarding the bandwidth, I am planning to switch to partial updates, just like the ones we receive from f1.
Which is planned in v2, but that thing is taking a while as I am struggling to find a good clean solution for the backend

Driver Laptime History

Hi, is it possible to review all lap times of a given driver? I couldn't find this feature, and I believe it would be a valuable addition. Also it will be amazing to compare all laps in a chart.

First stint marked as 0

Watching de stint of the drivers i have seen that the first stint is marked as 0. It should be marked as stint 1, right?
