This should of course read

I would have submitted a pull request for this, but I couldn't find the string within the repository files, so I can only assume it's compiled from elsewhere.

I don't know what's the meaning of the sentence. What is the pirate lord trying to say here? I can't seem to figure it out. I will also rephrase the paragraph after this has become clear.

I found a wrong grammar, but I cannot find this paragraph from anywhere of the files.
Is this by chance a vanilla FTL event? If so, then please close this issue.
