Alerts that are retrieved before they've actually begun should be handled specially in the popup window.

As part of the 1.0 release, WIC will need a filter system so that only certain alerts/invasions will proc notifications.

I'm sure I'm an isolated case, but sounds aren't working on mine. I hear them fine when I click the Preview button, but then when a notification pops up, I don't hear a sound with it. Running Windows 8.1, Google Chrome 36.0.1985.125 m. Options: PC, all boxes checked, 60-second update interval, "Alarm" sound selected.

Chrome has limits on how often/how much data can be passed into sync storage in a given period of time, but in order to prevent exceptions and the like we should ensure we obey the rate limits set forth by Google at the extension level.

The popup window should have active countdown timers for the alert's time left field.

There has only been once case in Warframe's history where two blueprints have been offered from one alert mission, and it seems unlikely to ever happen again, but for the sake of completeness and compatibility we should support it anyway.

WIC needs auto-updates before it officially goes beta.

The background script and popup window should actively check for alerts that have been expired for at least two minutes, and remove them from view and local storage.

Inserting random console.* calls wherever we have bugs is a band-aid fix and is not an acceptable method logging moving forward. We need a proper logger to handle all that jazz.
