The switch used for activating or inactivating an existing alarm works great if it is clicked, like if it was an old style toggle button, but it doesn't work (while visually updating) if you make the gesture of swiping right (activating) or left (inactivating). Android 4.3 and similar.
The date format in different area may be not the same. Could this app add a function for the users to change date format into their localized habits?
Thanks for your apps.
Hi, i see this app, simple flashlight and simoke notes are updated on google playstore but not on fdroid. Do you think to make it happen ?
Thanks.
Widget looks kinda small, especially on larger devices. Is it possible to add option to increase it's size?
After clicking on ringtone option it must be able to change.
After clicking on the ringtone option it brings me to home screen of my phone.
Install the app.
Go to timer section.
Press on default ringtone.
Then it brings us to home screen.
Let me show the bug in this GIF
On going to alarm section in clock then going to set the alarm after that I want to change the ringtone for alarm.
After clicking on ringtone option it brings me to the home screen.
Open the app.
1:Go to alarm section by swiping right to left.
2:Open the alarm which you had kept.
3:Press on default ringtone option.
It will bring you to the home screen.
The recording of the bug is in this GIF.
When you have multiple cities on the list, you see their time, but you don't really know their time zone.
So for now it's:
Los Angeles 12:00
And I want it to be:
Los Angeles (utc-8) 12:00
or
Los Angeles 12:00 (utc-8)
Or it could be also something like this:
Stopwatch and timer should keep running even if device orientation changes.
Stopwatch and timer stops once device switch between portrait view to landscape and vice versa.
For now you can add only one count down timer. It would be nice to add more timers so they could count down to different events. Also the timers should have labels, and the position of the timers on the list shouldn't be fixed. It's optional to have each event different alarm settings.
I really love your Tools and already bought them as well. Now I would love to use Simple Clock, but I don't like the digital clock widget. If you find the time, please create a "Simple Analog Clock Widget" which could look like this:
Just the simplest of analog clocks you could think of. Maybe with a configurable color. Oh and: touching the clock would open Simple Clock. Which is actually the reason why I cant't use Simple Clock at the moment: the widget you see here ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.ailuro.android.appwidget.clock ) opens the regular System Clock App and cannot be configured otherwise.
Thanks and keep up the good work. Simple Mobile Tools are just great!
When the setting "start week on Sunday" is set to on. The day of the week that the alarm is set to is one day behind. If I want an alarm for Thursday, I have to set it for Wednesday.

One function I would appreciate is a simple alarm one time use feature. I would use this for my gym days where I have to wake up earlier than my normal days but its not always on the same day of week. As is, I have to set the day that my workout will be every week.
The way I see this working is this if the alarm was turned on without the day being set, the alarm would go off one time then switch to off.
Example, Wednesday night knowing I have gym Thursday morning, I switch on the "gym" alarm which doesn't have a day set. It goes off Thursday morning and then switch itself off.
This functionality was in my previous clock app, but it is owned by "the company who shall not be named."
Currently, alarms stay flipped to on position after acknowledging them with the dismiss button.
It would be nice to have the option to set dismiss to turn the alarm off completely (toggle switch by alarm to off position) as a separate setting.
Scenario: I use lots of random alarms to remind me of deadlines at work. And they are never for the same time each day. If the alarm could be flipped off with the dismiss button then I wouldn't have to manually turn each alarm off when done.
For reference, that's basically what Google clock defaults to do, which you are probably already aware of.
When you add more time zones to the list, the + icon simply covers the time of the last position:
For now there's a 24h limit when you want to count the time down. It should be possible to add some longer periods like 5 days, or 30 hours.
Can you register your simple apps on https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/ to make ability for easier translations, thank you very much
#Expected behavior
After setting up an alarm, it is expected that at certain time it has to sound.
Actual behavior
When the alarm is supposed to sound, it only shows the alarm notification/layout and it does not make any sound.
Alarm volume is on its max value and power optimization is disabled for the app.
Version: 3.1.1
Operating system:
Android: 8.0.0
OxygenOS: 5.0.4
Nokia6 on android 7.1.2 Simple Clock SC 4.0.0
Steps to reproduce:
Start a new timer of e.g. 10 minutes. leave the app open and counting. lock the phone. The timer will never alarm.
If you check after eg 3mins the counter has only counted for 1min. It continous to count when unlocked and stops again after a while when locked.
i suspect battery management, already checked what i can.
Expected behavior:
Timer keeps counting down even when the phone is locked.
(actually same goes for the stopwatch)
Sometimes I get up before an alarm and I don't want it to go off, since I'm already up. Currently I can: 1) Just leave it on and get interrupted while I'm already awake. 2) Turn the whole recurring alarm off and risk forgetting to turn it on again before the next morning. I'd like a "skip once" option where the next instance of the recurring alarm won't sound, but all of later instances will.
just an observation as I have both stock Android clock and Simple Clock (SC) widgets on my phone.
When i create an alarm in stock Android clock and it is soonest it is shown in both widgets as the next upcoming alarm.
When i create an alarm in Simple Clock and it is soonest it is shown in the SC widget but not in the stock Android clock widget.
So it seems SC is aware of all alarms and stock Android clock is only aware of its own app alarm.
In some ROM's background apps will be killed by the system.
The solution is that there is always a running notification. This could be turned on/off in settings.
It is very important for a alarm clock.
Thanks! Love all simple apps.
While app is on landscape view. The content on the screen should be fully displayed or scrollable.
Using landscape on that aspect of the app some features could not be accessed.
Download Simple clock on fdriod.
Launch app and go to the timer tab option. Turn device auto rotate, then the vibration option and ringing tone wont be displayed.
click on the simple clock launcher, then it should open
click on the simple clock launched but it did not open
download from F-Droid, then click on the shortcut to launch. or click on the run from the F-Droid after installation
Seems it simply shows the first alarm in the list although no alarm is turned on.
I would prefer not to show an alarm time in this case or an info like "No alarm set"... or something like that below the timepiece.
Is it at all possible to allow the ability to use stored music (mp3 files or FLAC etc) for the alarm clock? the default ring tones are useless and dont wake me up compared to playing something like some heavy metal.
Nokia6 on Android 7.1.2.
Simple Clock (SC) version 3.1.2.
SC alarm used to work but since today no matter what alarm i program it does not work anymore.
Phone settings and volumes are checked, other apps produce sound, do-not-disturb is not enabled. SC alarm used to work but for now its back to use the stock clock app for alarms.
How can i further debug this?
This week I was on a trip and had a daily recurring alarm set. When I returned, I crossed multiple time zones; when I landed, my phone updated to the new local time. The next morning the alarm went off according to my original time zone. I appears as though the application did not automatically pick up the new time.
Disabling and re-enabling the alarm corrected the issue.
Alarm displays behind lock screen. Can a setting be added to make the alarm display in front of the lock screen?
Most alarm apps display the alarm in front of the lock screen, however this app displays my alarm behind the lock screen, and I must enter my complex unlock code/pattern before being able to smooze or dismiss an alarm. see why some users might appreciate this behavior, so maybe having it as an option in Settings would add the most value.
When you set 1:00:00, which is one hour to count down, it shows 00:00 instead of 1:00:00. When it starts to count down, it will be 59:59, but at the beginning is 00:00. Other hours works fine, i.e. 2:00:00, 3:00:00.
As i write this the Time in Los Angeles is 6:10PM and when using the simple clock app it shows it as 5:10PM. This is a bit of an issue
Hi, I want to design a new logo for the project completely free...
Hi, :)
Version: 4.0.1 on Android 8.0
Quick feedback:
World clock:
Show difference from home clock (e.g. +2:00 in green for clocks ahead, -1:30 in red for clocks behind). Or less stark colors :)
If possible, tell whether DST is on for that location.
Alarms:
Creating a new alarm should automatically focus on editing time. For examples, see Alarm Klock or Clock+.
Slide to dismiss. This prevents sleepy tapping of stop instead of snooze. (see Alarm Klock)
If no day is selected, make it a one time alarm.
Auto snooze: After x minutes of alarm (e.g. 5 minutes), snooze for y minutes (e.g. 5 minutes), then start again for x minutes, until z time has passed (e.g. 1 hour).
Thank you :)
Edit: sorry for the typo in the title :)
When there are at least one city added to the main time, the "Add" button hide the added cities time in landscape view.
Application version 3.1.1 installed with F-Droid on Android 7.0 on Moto G4.
Sometimes I notice that the clock widget hangs/stops counting time.
I don't know what causes it or when it stops. Suddenly it's back online again.
Happens fairly regularly.
Upon clicking the widget the clock app is fully synced, even though the widget isn't.
Probably not your fault, because my Huawei P8 Lite has some strange issues with permissions or smth I suspect.
Do you have any clues?
Hey, below are the apk test result from Hybrid Analysis.
Hybrid Analysis Link : HERE
I detected some errors in Spanish texts, I would like to correct and pull. But my knowledge of mobile is limited. I've tried to find the translations in the repository, but coudn't find any.
Greetings and thank you for the great suite of apps.
Nokia 6 with Android 7.1.2.
When i start a countdown timer it only continues to count down when i keep the app open. Closing the app and re-opening it makes that the countdown timer is stopped and reset.
Expected behaviour: keep counting in the notification area even after the app is closed.
