[RFE] Replace target language menu with buttons

As long as DeepL have a very low number of languages, the target language menu could be replaces with a button for each language. Otherwise you could add two buttons for the most used languages (or favorite ones). We almost always use the same languages.

After a while it stops working

Today I have updated this plugin and after a while it stops working. When restarting Firefox runs again, it reoccurs after a period of time. It simply does not translate, it shows nothing in the translated text.

Two suggestions:

  1. Auto-copying the translated text would be very useful.
  2. Being able to install the plugin in Chrome.

Thank you,
Isaac.

Don't hide the panel automatically

When you lose the focus, the DeepLT panel disappears and the content is lost. DeepLT could keep the content or stay on top (with a button?).

Standard setting output-language

My suggestion:
Input language standard -> Setting in Addonpage to choose between "Save last used language", "Save last used language but reset to [chose language here] when browser restarts"
Output language standard -> Setting in Addonpage to choose between "Use OS/Browser-language" and "Save last used language", "Save last used language but reset to [chose language here] when browser restarts". (The "don't save" option at the moment is nonsense, because in this case French is automaticlly set.)
Exemption: If input language = output language -> output-language = english

Thanks

Thanks for making the addon. It showed me how good it's as a translator. BTW do you know a way to contact them? It would be great if they could add japanese to the list of languages.

Always default to French?

Hi Silbad,

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to make the DeepL FF addon!
Very much appreciated, especially since DeepL in many aspects is much, much better than Google Translate (IMHO ☺).
However, did notice though that you always default to translate any language input to French by default?

Did I miss something? Went over all settings but couldn't find how to set language defaults...

Edit: Closing this... Sorry Silbad, didn't have enough coffee apparently. Now found that you added the setting "Save selected languages", which was set to "Never". Setting it to "Always" makes the addon remember user language prefs.

Thanks again for making this brilliant addon!

langage selection

Strangely enough, each time I ask for a translation, it resets destination language to my Firefox locale. But I want translation to english and I have manually select it each time.
It should keep in mind latest langage set, otherwise it is a bit tedious.
