I don't really understand what is being done here. I think, it would be helpful to add a little more description or some reference in the comment line.

@sibirrer, the coverage testing is broken now since Codecov requires the upload token to be added to the codecov.yml file. Please go to the Codecov website to find the repository token for this repo and add it to the above-mentioned line.

This routine originates from https://github.com/shsuyu/H0LiCOW-public/blob/master/H0_inference_code/lensutils.py but did not work with the current sklearn version. @aymgal @martin-millon do you know whether the notebooks for the sampling of the Wong et al. paper are a jour with the latest versions? In the meantime I replaced it with the scipy gaussian kde which may not have the accuracy we require.

The coverage badge on the ReadMe file needs to be updated to the one from Codecov.
