Problem we have faced while doing the project

If you connect to hosts directly in one hop, they will ping each other whether they are in the same subnet or not.
Adding the flow rules to the OVS so that one host should not ping another subnet gateway,
Creating two interfaces in OVS and making them gateway by assigning an IP address to them of different subnets gateways. This will not allow us to ping hosts from one network to another. As we have to make tuntap type interface to able to ping from one network to another.

Working ping from one subnet to another and no capture tcpdump vport

A host with 192.168.1.18/24 is able to ping IP address 192.168.1.5/24(eth0) and 192.168.2.3/24(vport1-tap interface) as these interfaces are available in a host and there is no router in the topology. This issue is well explained in this link.
As we are not able to capture any packets on (vport1-tap interface) using tcpdump, which is also very well explained in this link

Tasks need to be done

Build correct topology.
Write Proposal.
Write Documentation of Github README.
Check whether inbuild DHCP is there in switch we are using.
Install Flowvisor on at least one system.
Implement Network Slicing on the topology.
Check what all can be done with the topology we have made.
Update the problems and it's possibilities on the google doc.
Create an entry in local table without actually adding a virtual interface and see ping is showing host is active
