I get an error message everytime I try to open or close the mailbox. Here's a screenshot of the messages from my Improved Error Frame addon;

I just switched from postal to mail without thinking about keeping postal addon folder around and... bad move ^^
The default behavior of postal was to propose all your alts on the same account as default destination. Once you at least press a letter, alts came before friends, which came before strangers.
So for example, if Aaron is my alt, Abelinda my friend, and Abebe a stranger, when i send something, if i press the letter "a", postal was proposing Aaron first. Then if i continue and press b, Abelinda was proposed.
That behavior as disappeared with mail.
Can we have it back ?

Edit : false alert, it was just a matter of logging again all my alts, so the new addon can learn their existence.

The "You got mail"-notification icon on the minimap isn't removed when all mail has been looted using auto-open all mail.

Can you add a feature to keep mails send by GMs ?
I saw one a fraction of a second in my mailbox, before it got deleted ^^

The basic mail features of WoW Classic are actually quite good, but i miss some options from your addon (mainly the "right click auto grab what's in the mail", and the ability to select the mails to be opened with the "open all" button).

Please hide Open Mail button if no have mails.

If you send multiple items with C.O.D only the first item will have the C.O.D request attached.

It should split the amount you have specified over all items.

Example if you are sending two items and input 10g for C.O.D each item should have 5g C.O.D

P.S. I've read on the forums about MoveAnything messing up the frames, but this is Postal-only install, new WTF folder, new Interface folder.

I'll describe my use case to show worth.

I almost never use "Open mail" button, since I use my mailbox as an extension of my bank and inventory. 30 copper for 60 days per item is very good rent price.

However I want to benefit from "New mail" icon near the minimap. To do that I have to left-click every item I decided to keep in the inbox.

That's why I'm asking for another button. Thanks for your attention.

If anyone knows another addon having this feature, please advice it.
I could move to that in order not to bother Simon.

When opening an inspection, guild pane, skill pane etc, the mailbox closes.

CT Mailmod is able to have the mail and one extra frame open at the same time. Is this something that could be done in Mail as well?

Sometimes when opening mails an error ERR_MAIL_DATABASE_ERROR pops up in UIErrorsFrame.

You do not know what is causing the error and what could be the problem because of it? The process of opening mails is not interrupted. I did not find any problems due to this error, but nevertheless, if it pops up, then i think this is not good.

It would be very useful to be able to easily return an item using a key combination like for example by simply Shift + Right click

After last update I'm getting. Did I miss again something? Using same set of addons as before.

After pulling f22e20, postal doesn't work at all.
Tested on a clean wow installation, same effect.

Tried reverting to earlier versions, and deleting WTF, but the error consisted. Maybe there's something else behind these errors? Maybe it's server specific? @Elysium

If you could take a look to figure out what could be causing these issues, I would really appreciate it.

Quite self-explanatory, is this a possibility? Would be incredibly useful for mail storage.

A keybind would also work fine, e.g. ctrl-click to return.

No pop-up error, no message anywhere. It just stop. I have to click the button again. Sometimes several times in a row.

It's not 100% reproducible. It happen roughly 1 on 3 times i use the autocollect button.

Right-clicking on items in your inventory to mail them is convenient, but can be risky if you're absent-minded (I'm thinking consumables).
Is it possible to change the right-click functionality to alt-click instead?

As title says, if I remember correctly addon Postal (?) used something like this before and it's really nice to see how much you gathered since opening mass mails...

problems with the incoming e-mail icon with the money from the auction

I'm a little confused by your instructions. You say you can just add an item to the attachments by left clicking it? Because that picks up the item for me and I have to manually drag it over to the mail frame.

One thing I like about Gmail and CT_MailMod is that you can ALT+LeftClick an item in your bag and it automatically adds it to the Mass Mail tab. You should add some sort of functionality that is similar so you can quickly just ALT+Click a bunch of items quickly in stead of manually moving them to the mail frame one after another.

One more issue regarding LP in addition to #15.

Mail should be sent by pressing Alt + Ctrl, see their readme:

send mail(if item is attached to the mail)

Please, consider making it working, if that's not too hard.
If sending mail without attaches start to work too, I don't mind. :)

Basically when ever the UI reloads, it shows as if you have mail on the minimap.

After right click an item the attachment is put in inventory, it is deleted and the next one moves under the cursor, but the tooltip is not updated until we move out and back.
Suggestion : update immediately the tooltip with the next item information.

I don't like that the auto open all mail function deletes mails ,even if someone sent you a proper actual mail. By the time you realize what's happening, the addon might have already deleted the mail.

Hello and thanks for this addon. I noticed that when I
m opening my mail, the addon causes the game to freeze for some milliseconds but it happens with every mail in the opening sequence. This is not a major issue but since it happens even with just 2 mail in the mail box I thought I would report it.

Prevents the AddOn AutoProfit from functioning. AutoProfit can not detect any grey items when Postal is running. Tested by turning off one AddOn at a time until I found the conflicting one. Download for AutoProfit is here: https://github.com/Dridzt/AutoProfit

Hello, theres an issue with the AddOn since the version from oct 28 foward. When you drag a item manually to the sendbox, a lua error appears:

I put someone in my friendlist, name "XYZ". I have an alt on the same account, name "XXYZ". And another one on another account, name "XXXYZ".

By mistake, i send a mail to XYZ. To avoid the behavior of Mail addon of putting him in my recipients list, i remove him from my friendlist.
But he is still in the recipients list, forever.

How do i remove him of the recipients list ?

Also, to avoid these kind of mistakes, can we have colors ?
Green for alts, yellow for guild members, red for everyone else (including friends).

Even better : have a whitelist/blacklist of people to use/not use by default in the recipients list.

Can you add [Select page] / [Select all] buttons? And do not open all mails w/ out confiramation....

Iirc, it happened after my guild disbanded, if that matter.

In retail, I'm not sure if it's a mod or if its just part of the Blizzard UI these days, but you can I think shift+click your incoming mails to automatically open the mail, get the attachment, and then delete the mail. This would be great functionality to add.

This addon is fantastic!
I think it would be very useful to add a button name "Open current page" to open only the mails shown in the current page.
Sometimes I'm opening 30 mails but I leave the next 10 mails in the inbox, for later processing.
In such cases, it would be very useful to have a button to only mass-open the mails, but not all the mails. Opening page by page would be a very good threshold.

Error occurs when typing in a name that is not suggested by postal.

For example

I start to write a name with starting with S , postal suggests Sweetdeal but I finish it as Scar and it pops up this error

ing the problem as I suspect its another addon.

Autocomplete seems to be gone as of e1929a7
Might be an issue earlier but my last version was before the latest refactoring.
Also off-topic to this ticket, postal doesn't upgrade gracefully on overwrites (the capitalization change to the addon name / toc)
It needs a deletion of the addon folder (at least on windows overwriting folders ignores capitalization so you end up with Postal and that's a slew of errors in game)

Hi there, since version b3da533#diff-488427b9c215e3ca595810fb1905d189R190 of postal does not seem to check if mail (in my case it was mail returned from the auction house) still contains an item before deleting it. Right clicking to open the mail today resulted in me losing a couple a of relatively cheap idols I was trying to sell earlier. Just wanted to let you know before anyone accidentally deletes something more pricey. Otherwise great addon, keep up the good work, it's much appreciated.

i delete all my lua.files in the Addon-Folder + in the Wtf-Folder...but yeah - it dosn´t go :(
