I answered in the forum... but basically it's just a matter of changing
the color in /bin/pachist.

Hi there,

Thanks a lot for your neat script. Really a lifesaver to quickly
being able to review the installed packages!

I noticed a small conflict with colours when using the solarized
colours in urxvt:

I started the discussion on this in the respective thread on the Arch
Linux forums and it seems that this is not an issue of the colour
scheme but rather of the program.

What is your take on this and how to fix it?

Thanks for your advice!

@Almehdi

Thanks for your response! Still trying to undersand the issue in general because it could potentionally occur with any program.

Do you think it is a shortcoming of the colour scheme or of the specific application?

If you change the colour in pachist, would that have any adverse effects on users that do not use solarized?

Thanks!

In the case of 'pachist' it's just a predefined color i liked and thus
use. There is a problem with the solution I gave. Everytime there is an
update you will need to change it again. Pachist is still young and I
plan to make a real persistant config for it... I haven't implemented
that right now though. The problem is that any color I chose will not
be okay for someone... so best is to make it configurable.

I am not using anything from Xresources so the colour scheme is not to
be blamed.

@Almehdi

Thanks, now I understand the relationship between pachist and the colour scheme.

Good idea of having a config file and I look forward to being able to configure my own colours. :)

As I said previously.. You already can. So you can try out a colour you
like. Just open the /bin/pachist file and change the variable "black"
to something else. ;)

@Almehdi

Great! #839496 makes it more compatible with solarized. :)

Thanks again!
