I followed you answer on StackOverflow to this repo: http://stackoverflow.com/a/12126105/1015595

I tried replicating the code you posted there:

    exec('bin/hiddeninput.exe', $password);

    echo 'Password was: ' . $password;
?>

However running this page throws an error:

 Notice: Array to string conversion in C:\WampServer\www\hiddeninput\test.php on line 5

Is there an generic library that offers the ability to prompt the user for passwords, normal plain text, and menu options all cross platform?

I'm trying to debug an issue we're having getting a custom CLI to work in Windows.

When I run a prompt that uses hidden-input, I get this error:

"Reads from stdin without leaking info to the terminal has stopped working".

Hard to imagine that this problem is caused by hidden-input: I imagine it's more likely related to our implementation, but I was curious if you or anyone else had any insight on what might be causing the issue.
