Add a status bar icon which can be used for accessing the add-on options.

Settings only take effect after the browser restarts. After options are changed the user should be prompted to restart the browser.

It's been requested that there be an option to apply changed settings immediately.

Applying settings normally requires a restart. However, the Extension Developer add-on lets you refresh the entire browser's chrome without restart. If the chrome is refreshed, will the color management settings be reapplied? Needs investigating.

I installed version 0.5.1 on firefox 3.5.5 on debian.

I work with a calibrated screen, i generated the profil with dispcalGui (argyll front end).

I selected my profil, set perception mode, turned off firefox and started it again.

Then I compared the displayed picture with several other applications :

• Gimp with color management, same profil and perception mode
• F-Spot with color management, same profile
• A simple visualisation tool
• Firefox with color management

I compared pictures at the same zoom.

Gimp and F-Spot display the same picture.

Firefox and the visualisation tool display a far more saturated picture.

We need an icon which can be used to identify the add-on in the add-ons list and on a status bar icon.

Let users store multiple profiles that can easily be chosen from.

This is marked as a legacy plugin in recent Firefox versions, and will most likely stop working in Firefox 57.

Are there any plans to port it to the WebExtensions API?

If you look at this page http://www.color.org/version4html.xalter you will see that this add-on is not working correctly. Either that or Firefox CM is not set up correctly. Any ideas Sean?
