The date and date of week complications do not update after date change at midnight, even after waiting many minutes (on any watch face). See screenshat taken before/after 00:00 (9 o'clock: builtin complication of watch).

Specifically the top and bottom ones.
I suspect this would need to be a new face.
It looks like the modular face has the relevant complication code.

I'll take a look myself, but my java is a little lacking so opened this meanwhile.

Keep the 'chrono-start-button' visible in waked state, but hidden in dimmed-mode; replaced with a notification count (or other chosen item). This would really be the icing on the cake ;-)

Would it be possible to add seconds as a dots on the outer circle, something like this or that one
Otherwise I am using this watch face as my daily driver
