Putting on a Second hat causes player to walk down

I was wearing the fez when i decided to put on the kaiser helm

Putting the second hat on "pushed Scrints down" towards the bottom of the screen without me pressing any buttons.

Scrints walked down until she bumped up against a wall, and could walk no further.
Seems like the game is confused and trying to push Scrints away from something, and the physics engine is suggesting down is the best place to go.
Seems counter-intuitive that wearing two hats makes you go "down".

Couldn't get Curly to put down camcorder

I went to Yogurt HQ
I commanded Curly to get the (recording) camcorder
I commanded Curly to drop the (recording) camcorder
He did not drop it, despite text saying "Why certainly my good man"
I had Scrints punch him until he fell down, at which point the camcorder flew off screen and could not be found or interacted with.
The green "recording" box could no longer be seen.

Commanding someone else to leave a place causes you to leave instead

Moe was near the drain in Yogurt HQ.
I asked him to Enter the drain
Moe said, "why certainly my good man"
The game acted as if I had just entered the drain, which is counter-intuitive at best
I recommend that players say "I'd rather not" when asked to enter / leave a location.

Closet to Inventory

Would be great to have stuff go directly from your closet into your inventory instead of into your hands. This would save a lot of time menu-ing vs, clicking an item, then clicking stash, and then clicking on the closet, then click open, for getting out more than one item.

Don't clone yourself and go to sleep I guess.

I cloned myself and then went to sleep. After waking up on the next day the camera was fully zoomed out, a clone was running around the apartment, and I was nowhere to be found.

lots of blood slows game to a crawl

The screen was filled with blood, liquid, etc. Is there a culling mechanism for the infinitely spawning detritus?

Duplicated items do this too.

save system likely needs overhaul

Switching main character almost works perfectly, except that save breaks after a switch. Not sure why, but this is a good time to overhaul the save system, decide if there is a an easier way of organizing it all now that I have more experience structuring serializable stuff

Ingredients only flash for 1 frame when multiple potions are analyzed

That's just my theory of what's happening here.

When I analyzed the paint bucket the first time, it showed me a picture of an egg for the duration of a "magical sound"
then the word "EGG!!!"
and then a picture of toilet water for the duration of a "magical sound"
and then "TOILET WATER"

When I analyzed a strength potion afterwards, the script was running,
but instead of showing a picture of an eggplant that lasted for the duration of a magical sound, it only flashed an eggplant on the screen.
likewise for yogurt being flashed on the screen

I tried again for the potion of poison and the egg and toilet water only flashed on the screen.

Request for recipe ingredients list

When the imp analyzes something, it'd be nice if the user didn't have to remember it on their own.
I'd request an in game, self-populating accessible through some sort of menu.

The list should only tell me about ingredients that i've analyzed, and potions that the imp has told me about.

Commands for items persist if struck and you're no longer holding them

  • Certain items (like articles of clothing) drop when you're struck.
  • I was holding a shirt, about to put it on.
  • When punched, with menu still active, I dropped the shirt.
  • The menu for the shirt persisted.
  • Stash, Wear, and Drop options seemed to have no outward visible effects when selected.
  • Throw put "Scrints" in a state of constantly repeating the throwing motion with nothing in hand.
  • Walking while throwing causes scrints to remain in the last frame of the "Throw" animation with nothing in hand.

  • Getting a new item from inventory caused that item to appear in Scrints' body, while maintaining the state where Scrints was in the throwing motion.
  • Being struck caused the item to first, immediately jump to Scrints' hands, and then second, immediately get thrown at the start of the next throw loop.
  • This concluded the throw loop.

actors no longer say opening line

following the removal of scriptdirector code, the costar (or any actor) does not say the opening line when the commercial starts.

Cloned dialogue doesn't work

I cloned myself twice, then had one clone talk to the other clone. The first clone agrees to talk, but the program freezes on the last screen of dialogue.

Knocked myself out of bounds

I was trying to "Unlock" the chest in the mayor's attic by hitting it while strong with a golf club.
I knocked it into the bottom-left corner of the the staircase entrance and then walked in front of it.
I turned Scrints to face up (so her back was to the viewer and she was facing the chest)
I hit the chest with the golf club again (while strong) multiple times, causing slight vibrations to the chest, but no large movement (like it was stuck).
On a final swing, the chest moved violently, flying straight up into the air, so high it went off screen, before appearing to land at the far end of the room.

From this point on WASD caused Scrints to "lean" left or right instead of walking. She could perform no "real" motion (e.g. traversing distance on the ground).
"Explode Head" option was chosen to reset game state, whereupon the chest appeared directly in front of Scrints' gibbed body again.

Commanding Apothecar-ist talk to you gives a weird menu

  • Talk to shopkeep in apothecary
  • choose command
  • choose only visible action (assumed "Talk")

Further chat actions all lead to this next menu

you can exit this menu by chosing command again, but the keyboard no longer works.

Pie hour kills the music

Music died after I watched pie hour.

Second time trying to watch pie hour, watched it through to 'the end'. Was holding the blender, full of I think draino, if that helps at all.

  • Hotkeys for stuff
  • Right click as a quick "get -> stash"
  • D to progress in chats instead (or in addition to) A
