I think I am going to add in a simple sandwich menu that slides out or fades in a full screen menu. This seems easy and keeps with the branding we have.

No, goal is to reduce load times on the homepage by making the images smaller.

Just want to improve loading by processing the home page images into multiple size.

I should research a few things.

1. Do people do this a specific way besides the media query and selection of different sized images? How do they handle 2x/3x screens?
2. Is there an easy way to display a blurry one on first load and fade in a nicer once? Maybe look for a lib?

None of the assets have caching rules set. Its probably worth setting something for all images css and js files.

• Reduce the size of head photos to improve loading
• Darken photos to make navbar easier to view
• Test preloading them to improve page transition (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3646036/preloading-images-with-javascript)
• Investigate loading different sized images based on screen size
• Investigate loading lower quality versions (blurred) first
