The short answer is basically no, there isn't one in progress that I know of. We've had 2-3 false starts where folks have intended to write a document but never managed to put one together.
We'd really love to have one if you'd be interested in writing one. I'm not much of a Ruby programmer, so it's not something I could eventually throw together myself. So it's a bit of a gaping hole that has been problematic to fill.
I'd be happy to help structure/review such a tutorial if you're up for throwing some time at it.
I can also connect you with one or two people who started/intended to start writing a Ruby tutorial, if it helps :)
Let me know!

I think also the python isn't there links at http://docs.scala-lang.org/tutorials/# don't send you somewhere.. I guess a contribute button or contributions welcome will be best redirecting to a issue here or something like that.

enough years have passed now that I think this is unlikely ever to happen. even if we had separate tutorials for people coming from different languages, they'd likely fall out of date. I think it's better to focus on 1) the language tour, 2) providing links to good external resources for teaching the language
we have "Scala for Java programmers" but that's special, the languages are so closely tied that it makes sense to make an exception there, IMO
