I just discovered this repository and want to give it a try to see if / how it might work with multi-node LXD containers across the internet.

One question I have is in regards to the "patches" mentioned.

At the Hub update the vxlan.ko (4.4.0, drivers/net/vxlan.c) with the patch in the patches/ directory. This patch enables learning of ip+vni for a mac-address

As most of the files were last updated 3 years ago and the Linux kernel in my Ubuntu 18.04 is now greater than 5.0

Are the vxlan patches still required?

As author of opennhrp I would welcome the changes to opennhrp upstream. Would it be possible to receive pull request with commits for opennhrp?

Have you also seen Quagga/NHRP work? I sometime ago rewrote the NHRP stack as Quagga module to overcome certain issues. However, in dmevpn use case those are likely not as important as in dmvpn. Regardless, would be awesome to get similar support for Quagga if ever possible...

I am also interested on the bridge/multicast code. Please drop me an email if you would have time to exchange few thoughts about dmevpn design and implemenation. Thanks!
