Secure Login is a login extension for Mozilla Firefox integrated password manager

Hello, despite all the tests I've made, the shortcut CTRL + SHIFT + U is not working on Linux.
Is there any additional preference in about:config that I should set?
Thanks.
Where a form has only a password and the username recorded in the password manager is blank the old version was still happy to fill in the form and submit it when I pressed the button but the WebExtension does not, although it does show a password as available in the counter.
I can right click in the field and select the "No username (date)" entry and then submit manually though.
With e10s enabled secure login toolbar button doesn't work. It doesn't do anything on left click, also its tooltip is empty. Right click shows context menu as intended.
Firefox 48.0.2 x64 Windows 10
Secure Login 1.2.3
Webextension version doesn't work with Prestashop backoffice. On submit, page is reload and login doesn't proceed.
With copy/paste , any problem.
I can do some tests if required.
Firefox 52.5.0 (64 bits) ESR on Debian 9.2
If the preferences dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled
is set to FALSE, the generate password doesn't copy it to clipboard. It is somehow logic, but is there anyway to overcome this?
cheers
Ok, so in my setup i use PassIFox
as password storage.
Secure Login works with it out of box, but when i installed WebExtensions version button click produces pop-up message that no credentials can be found.
I'm not sure how to help you out to debug it, but feel free to point way out.
Hi
Thank you for great extension Secure Login (for firefox)
I have issues with Behance (Adobe) site log in.
It worked fine before, but something changed.
Even fill login is not working. Password is not entering, and info message shown - No account found with that email address.
Regards,
Jugi
It would be really eye candy, if right-click on SL would produce the context-menu as LMI does. :)
Cheers
field highlighted, but the data insertion does not work.
I have a saved login like "XXX\abcdef"
When I click on the Secure Login icon to use it in the corresponding login page, the login becomes "XXXabcdef", without "\". And login fails, obviously!
Thanks
Hi!
Since a long time I'm missing the (mouse) right click context menu ("Saved passwords", "Generate a random password", "Help") on the icon in the toolbar/icon bar.
I'm using your WebExtension v0.1.8 on Ubuntu with FF 54, but with Windows 7 and FF ESR (52.2.0) the context menu is not shown.
Do you have some hints? – Or is it a (known) bug?
Thanks in advance and best regards!
classic Secure Login has and option to open logins window.
I am missing this feature here.
or can it be revived with the new Firefox?
Thanks
Hello,
Secure login doesn't work with new docker hub login page : https://hub.docker.com/login/
I think some other sites have the same issue.
The page seem to use react and give empty name attributes to the input field.
They provide, however, placeholder attributes.
The classical Firefox way to fill the fields (start typing in name and select it on the completion pop-in) works perfectly so you should be able to deal with these too.
Is there anyway to control settings of SL over user.js,/that is over preferences?
Cheers
Hello,
I have a strange behaviour from Firefox, that report "obsolete" even though I have the webextensions flavour of Secure Login (I switch almost directly after the announcement of the availability). I'm on Manjaro Linux, with the latest stable version (55.0.1 64bit).
What could go wrong ? May an old reference in some of the profile's databases be misleading FF ?
It may be related to #40
(anyway, I use this thread to thank you for your work on it :) )
To be sure I'm not encountering influence from other extensions, I'm looking to replace all the others in the capture picture, I may update when it's done.
Hello,
is it possible to add a feature, where I can have a list of sites, where I do not want to be asked for a password?
Also I would like to ask whether it is possible to be asked for the master password only once a session and if I do not fill in this masterpassword it should not ask again in that session.
Thanks a lot.
Best regards
I am missing password generator as the classic Secure Login has.
With Pale Moon 27 x64 (current 27.0.0 alpa2) i get this error in error console:
Error: ReferenceError: qfnServices is not defined
Source File: chrome://securelogin/content/secureLogin.js
Line: 143
Maybe it can be easy fixed?

Is it possible to add a setting to suppress pop-up info window, like the one "No matched credential is detected..."
The icon is showing number of logins anyway and pop-up is just a clutter. ;)
Thank you
Some craypy forms (like the Sogo login page of my corporate webmail) uses a javascript function instead of form validation to validate the form.
Would it be possible to add a feature to handle that kind of form ? (With Angular and other frameworks, I think that it will happen more and more often)
Hi,
I switched from "Log Me In" to "Secure Login (Embedded WebExtension)" and most of the time it seems to work without a problem. But I got the following issue on Facebook:
Secure Login seems to insert the saved email address to all fields and Firefox then also asks if one wants to save the (correct) credentials (which are already stored as can be seen by looking at the Secure Login button).
I already tried to delete the login data and saving it again, but this didn't help. For testing purposes I used a portable version of Firefox 54.0.1 with a fresh profile.
Classic Secure Login works OK, but this one doesn't detect login
After the latest secure-login update, using the icon or the hotkey does not fill in the credentials, anymore. It only asks for the credentials to use (if there is more than one), but that's it.
Disabling autofill forms will solve it, but I'd like to use both together.

(FF 45.1.0 ESR)
First of all many thanks for the Secure Login extension which I have been using for several years!
Today I tried the new Secure Login webextension on computer A.
I use sync to automatically have the same extensions (and passwords) on all my computers.
Later on computer B, the Secure Login webextension was correctly listed among my extensions (due to the automatic syncing). But its toolbar icon was not to be found anywhere, not on any of the toolbars and not in the area for unused available icons in the Customize dialog.
I did a remove/reinstall of the extension on computer B, but even that did not give me the icon.
For now, I went back to using the XUL based extension.
Some pages require 3 fields authorization, for example name/company/password or name/password/language. It will be great to add a support of this to SL.
¡Hola!
I would like to help you with Spanish translation for this addon. Where do I start? Should I directly copy and override English files, or are you using an external system to manage translations (like Pootle, Transifex, etcetera)?
¡Gracias!
With the old XUL extension you had to manually authorize the autocompletion of the login form, that was its primary goal, to not have a page trick the browser into giving away password credentials without explicit user input.
With the new webextension the login form is always automatically filled, which is the same behaviour you get without the native browser password manager, is there some hidden setting that needs to be enabled?
I'm using secure login 0.1.7 on Firefox 52.0.2.
Hi,
i'm on Archlinux with Firefox 45.0b4.
I'm using the ALT+N key combination to login.
Only Firefox freezes, nothing else.
The new Web. API seems to support Keyboard Shortcuts now (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/manifest.json/commands).
Would be great to add this :)
Dozens of extension icons on toolbar are not in my style, especially when icon for ones like this are active maybe during 5% of time. I'll be glad, if I could remove icon from toolbar and use icon in addressbar, shown only when needed (i.e. on website with credentials in password manager).
Today i updated to FireFox 54 and after restart i don't get the dropdown menu in the name field as i did with FireFox 53.x. I can still login if i use the context menu.
F3 does not work as a shortcut.
This is on Linux using Mozilla Firefox 43.0.1. Also tested using Pale Moon 25.8.1 with a clean profile. Setting the shortcut from within Customizable Shortcuts circumvents the bug.
Also, I tried changing the shortcut inside the overlay to keycode="VK_F3" but that did not work either (I think the setting from the overlay has no precedence over the about:config setting).
A solution not requiring external addons would be welcome (Customizable Shortcuts does not work in Pale Moon).
Hi,
today I (Win 7-64, FF 45.0.0, and the most recent update of SecureLogin realized that I can't add new sites. At the bottom I used to have a button with a menu behind it so that SecureLogin fetches the name and pwd directly from the page.
Now I have only buttons for "Delete", "Delete All" "Import", "Show Password".
What happened?
How can I add a new entry?
Hi Sarah,
First of all thank you for all the work you've put in this add-on.
For the web extensions version, you mention in your page that the keyboard shortcut is "Ctrl+Shift+N". However, this is the default shortcut in Firefox to open a new window, so it doesn't work (a new Firefox window is opened instead).
Hi
In the webextension version of the addon, I miss an important feature: a shorcut to the dialog in Firefox options where all passwords are listed and where mass operations on password can be done.
Thanks
Secure Login (Embedded WebExtension) doesn't work well with Yahoo Mail Log-in. I always get this message
Do you have access to this email?
m****[email protected]
We will send you an Account Key to verify you're the owner of this email.
If I disable your addon this nonsense with Account Key disappears and I can log-in normally.
By the way, with the old Secure Login no problems.
Well, can you fix it?
Secure-login doesn't support Firefox with multiprocess support.
Is there any plan to fix this?
In toolbar, the Secure Login button has no icon displayed. Its is visible only as an empty space. The button works but its invisible display make it harder to find.
I have the problem on Windows 8.1 with a 3840 x 2160 display and Firefox 38 or 39. The icon works perfectly on mac.
It seems that "Secure Login (Embedded WebExtension)" removes the character
`
from the password when it inserts it. I noticed this bug when I couldn't login on some sites and Firefox asked me if I want to update the login credentials. After comparing the "new" password with the saved one it turned out that the character " ` " was somehow removed.
I hope this can be fixed.
Just for info: Generate random password does not store to the clipboard.
cheers
