Would be good to install Android NDK after installing Android SDK.

I have run run_docker.sh "samtstern/android-studio" and it starts updating SDK and show an Error:

Done. Nothing was installed.

Want to be able to 'snapshot' the VM with file-mapping intact so that it can be distributed on a USB drive.

So user can take code home

Need to modify provisioning scripts so that they don't check for the existence of the ZIP.

Android SDK image is 4.5GB bigger than Ubuntu image, but the Android SDK folder is only 2GB.

I need proxy to access google adk , otherwise a error " WARN - ateSettings.impl.UpdateChecker - Connection failed. Please check your network connection and try again."

for android studio without docker, set proxy like this

Go to the install location, open bin directory, edit the idea.properties, add below line to the file's end:

    disable.android.first.run=true

Then open android studio, set the proxy in configuration and close again.

Remove the line disable.android.first.run=true from idea.properties and open android studio again.

After this, you can work behind a proxy.

how i set proxy for android studio within docker?

I override 'ENTRYPOINT studio.sh ‘ in 'android-studio' dockerfile using 'docker run --entrypoint=/bin/bash ', then edit idea.properties, but permission denied.

How could i edit file idea.properties ?

Sorry for asking this stupid question and this is really not an issue, but I am fairly new to vagrant and docker, and I do not know how can I start Android Studio in the docker container with X-Windows?

Would it be possible to extend to the README.md with a little peace of command-line how to start Android Studio at the end?

Make AS run in the background, then make bash run in the foreground.

android-base --> samtstern/android-base
android-studio --> samtstern/android-studio

When pulling with Git on Windows, the line endings of scripts/my_bashrc.txt are mangled such that the VM shell can't source from the result.

Add samtstern prefix

When running run_docker.sh "samtstern/android-studio" and it is following the setup wizard for android studio, when installing the archives, it says "url not found" for a bunch of thigns and eventually it just stops (also says permission denied).

Does this run on ubuntu ok? I tried both running with and without root neither made a difference.
