.emacs.d's Introduction

.emacs.d

My current emacs config. Maybe you want to take a look and see something you don’t know how to set or you want to replicate my working environment just to judge me; either way tell me what do you think!

File structure

  • init.el: Just used for settings loading, MELPA config and few setq regarding warning level logging (useful for hiding emacs-devel shenanigans) and backup directory location (that way you don’t lose backups and it keeps your working directories pristine).
  • settings/use-package.el: Package installation and config is located here, from tools like lsp or helm to cosmetic packages like doom-themes.
  • settings/binds.el: Like its name suggests this file stores global binds. I’m pretty sure everything in here could be in use-package.el (or maybe built-in packages could be defined here with use-package.
  • settings/global-modes.el: This file stores global modes info (the same I said about binds.el can be applied here). Also I have here all font config, not the best place but who cares really?

WIP

  • Better file structure.
  • org-agenda and org-roam.
  • Take this repo and make it a submodule of dotfiles.
