After a few reinstalls and iOS updates I can't get this plugin nor the fork I made to work.

Does it still work for you on latest iOS and on uninstall / reinstall or is it over for now until later?

When I run this with the sample configuration, the Home app simply shows 'Not Supported' and there is no notification when the 'Ding Dong' test event fires.

Reading the comments to the other issues, it seems that Homekit can't handle a simple doorbell that doesn't also include a camera and a motion sensor. Is that correct? I only have a simple doorbell (but modified with an ESP8266)! Is there any way that I can add it to Homekit as a Doorbell? (I currently have it set up as a motion sensor, which is somewhat unsatisfactory.)

(I'm using iOS 10.3.2. I've also tested on the iOS 11 Betas with the same results.)

Is it possible to add the possibility to trigger the doorbell from the automation part of the home app?
If that was the case I could trigger the doorbell when a switch changes state. And by that trigger the door notification.

I followed your procedure, but nothing happens when I ring my DoorBird.

The DoorBird camera is visible in the Home App and I have a Doorbell accesoire, which states not supported

Any help is appreciated.

Hi there,

I ran the doorbell alongside a DoorBird installation in HomeKit. It fires off when homebridge is restarted, successfully sending the image to iOS - only a single device for some reason, I have three connected, any ideas why it might hold back?

The accessory is seen as "Not Supported", I had used the config in your example over the one in the docs. Do I need to add the MAC address of the DoorBird?

I can't work out how the DoorBird event (pressing DoorBell) will push to this component, could you help describe please? Would there be a way to pass in the DoorBird notification call somehow?

hi all, i have the following 2 problems.. someone can help me?
-I'm using doorbell plugin but seems that doorbell notification arrives only to my smartphone and not to the other people that are sharing my home. it is a common problem?

-Doorbell seems be incompatible accessory with IOS10 (ITALY). Possible? Anyway i'm able to receive notification on my iphone and open live view cam.

to fix your code you should change this.devices = config["devices"]; with this.devices = config["doorbells"];

also try to fix like this "for(index = 0; index < count; index++)"

and finally add in the config.json underneath the platform like this "platform": "Doorbell",
"name": "doorbell",
