The goal of this fork is to run OSEM for a specific use case. Our exact requirements are still being worked out. For this reason, it is unclear how closely we will align with the upstream version maintained by openSUSE. We will likely have minor divergences from the upstream, but still incorporate all of their changes into our own. We might also reach out to openSUSE and contribute changes of our own back into the upstream version.

There may be some problems installing gems, due to some missing platform requirements.

These steps have been known to help:

• sudo apt install postgresql-contrib libpq-dev
• sudo apt install libmysqlclient-dev

Then you can install gems: bundle install

Configure your local .env file and run: rake db:setup
