ModSci: Addition of cheminformatics as a subdiscipline

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Not a problem, I would like to add cheminformaticsas a subdiscipline under chemistry

Additional context
I am willing to write the descriptive text and submit as a PR to the repo. Do you have any advice about doing this? Should it be in TTL by default for instance?

Thanks, Stuart

Extending ModSci

Dear Said and colleagues,

I really like the approach of the ModSci ontology. Could you imagine to detail the physics/chemistry section and add terms like x-ray diffraction (XRD), quasi-elastic neutron spectroscopy (QENS), molecular dynamics simulation (MD), and high energy physics (HEP). Or is this collection intended to stay at an higher level?

[Improvement] for ModSci ontology

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
no.
For ModSci ontology:
I'd suggest integrating several existing taxonomies of research fields, such as Field of Research (FoR) by ANZSRC and Dewey Decimal Classification scheme.

[Improvement]

It would be better if you consider these points:

  • Add a table in the documentation with the statistics of the ontology, e.g., number of classes, number of object properties, .. etc.

  • At the top right corner, there is no need for language "en". I think this would be more appropriate if your documentation is written in more than one language.

  • Add a Sparql endpoint.

  • Datamining is not a subClassOf Database. According to Wikipedia "Data mining is an interdisciplinary subfield of computer science and statistics".

[Improvement] Generalize class hierarchy description

Hi @saidfathalla,

Someone referred me to the hierarchy visualization you have created in https://github.com/saidfathalla/Science-knowledge-graph-ontologies/blob/master/doc/ModSci_doc/Visualization/InteractiveVisualization.html and I think it looks really nice.

I have 2 questions:

  1. Do you think it would be useful to add it to Widoco, so others can use it too? Or is this visualization specific for this ontology?

  2. Have you used a tool to transform your ontology data into the JSON needed by the D3 library? If so, do you mind sharing it?

Finally, I see the license in the page is CC-BY, but I don't know very well how to credit it. Can you please specify? Thanks in advance

Not able to create a Pull Request

Describe the problem
I tried to submit a Pull Request to the repository and got a 403 error.

Also noticed that the branch for the repo is 'master'. This should be updated to 'main' per the discussion here.
