How can i stop the recording automatically after 1 min ?

When attempting to compile an .apk, an error occurs during resource merge.

Checking the error shown, you can find this line: <item name = "layoutCron" type = "id"> 1 </item>

According to the Android website, https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/resources/more-resources#Id, the resource of type item should be empty, example: <item type = "id" name = "id_name" />

Tested on:
Android Studio 3.4.1
Sdk 28
Build Tools 28.0.3

My app crahes, if I click on the Button with the following message: java.lang.RuntimeException: setAudioSource failed.
Can you please help?

When ever I am trying to record the audio, and call the play() inside the onStop(), the audio is only played for 2-3 seconds. sometimes it doesnt even play

If you don't hold the button and just tap. It throws exception which is not handled . Can you please review this error.
