Purpose

This is an interpreter for the pseudoassembly defined in syllabus 9618 - Computer Science of Cambridge Assesment International Education. This repository contains two crates:

cambridge-asm is the library. Refer to this readme for details.
cambridge-asm-cli is the CLI. Refer to this readme for details.

pointer_structural_match lint will become a hard error soon

This crate triggers the pointer_structural_match lint:

Matching against function pointers is not reliable and will become a hard error once rust-lang/rust#124661 lands, as was decided in rust-lang/rfcs#3535. I recommend comparing with == instead (though that will be just as unreliable).

Eliminate complicated machinery currently needed for indirect addressing by simplifying memory layout

Use BTreeMap<usize, usize>, getting rid of MemEntry and its complicated machinery. Only assign new addresses to memory that has a label. Memory with raw addresses remains untouched.

Add debugger to CLI
