Just read the description of this case, can you instead use CARGO_BIN_EXE_<name>
in integration test targets?
For the potential locking issue, I am not sure. From macOS manpage of flock
, it says something like:
Locks are on files, not file descriptors. That is, file descriptors
duplicated through dup(2) or fork(2) do not result in multiple instances
of a lock, but rather multiple references to a single lock. If a process
holding a lock on a file forks and the child explicitly unlocks the file,
the parent will lose its lock.
However, in GNU libc they states that child processes won't inherit file locks by default. That might be worth tracing with ktrace or dtruss, if we have a minimal reproducible example.
