pittsburgh311's Issues

Quick Information Setup page

Synopsis

As of now there are textfields which the user can edit and an inactive Create button. This issue is about adding functionality to the page.

Details:

  • We should probably adjust the 'Email Address' field to be the keyboard which shows up with @ and .com
  • Similarly, we can use the phone number textfield type for 'Phone Number'
  • On clicking 'Create', the users information should be saved and the user should be taken to the camera activity.

Camera Options Menu

Steps to Reproduce

This is a bug. The steps to reproduce are:

  1. Open app
  2. Click 'submit as guest'
  3. At the camera screen, press the options button in the top left corner
  4. Hit 'back' or click the screen to unselect the camera options.
  5. Take a picture and accept it by pressing the check mark.

Result:

User is taken back to the camera screen to take another picture.

Intended Result:

User is moved onto the 'Add Comments' page and their picture is accepted.

Making Comments page

Synopsis

As of now the 'Making Comments' page does nothing when the user presses 'Submit.'

Details:

  • Obviously, quite a bit happens when the user presses 'Submit'. This issue is not about adding all of that functionality, just registering that they did something.
  • Have a popup box or some other indication that they submitted successfully
  • Return to the home screen or to an additional page that allows them to share to social media.

HTTP Post request to the City of Pittsburgh

Synopsis

I'm going to start working on the actual process of sending our users' information to the City of Pittsburgh.

Details:

  • I'm going to start by analyzing the City of Pittsbugh's site and making some notes of how they do what they do.
  • I'm going to send an email to the city asking if they have any way they'd prefer us to send our issues to them (perhaps a different interface than they use for the website). I know it's unlikely they actually reply, but at least trying would probably look really good.
  • Once it's clear where the data is going when you press 'submit' on the website and how it's formatted, I'll write a clear explanation of that.
  • With the design in place, we can actually implement it for our app.

Google Maps Display

We're going to need to use the Google Maps API v2 to get a map visible (without the associated code to retrieve it for now) during this milestone for Project 4. I'm going to put up an API key in the next commit once I have all the SHA keys so that we can use that as part of the application. I'll also try and add the correct external jars or imports in the Gradle file.
