make_your_robot_tick_2024's Issues

Charge and discharge specification

Team Name : FENESTA
RuleBook Reference : nil
Question :

  1. Do we have any specific Discharge rate/Waveform ,while discharging to the Energy collector from the Robot
  2. Do we have specified charging voltage (like 6v, 12v) in the Charging Source, For the waveform given (Fast, Middle and Slow Energy Sources)

[RuleBook] - Use of LIDAR

  • Team Name : Basilisk
  • RuleBook Reference : 3.1 General Information
  • Question : Can we use LIDAR sensors in our robot??

Robot path

  • Team Name : Basilisk
  • Question : Can the Robot follow any path of it's choice or should it follow a designated path like a white line?

[RuleBook] - Width of the door passageway

  • Team Name : maxq
  • RuleBook Reference : page 9 / figure 2
  • Question : What's the width of the passageway through the door? The door guiderails seem to extend into the passageway, reducing the width of the passageway from 225mm as dimensioned in the pdf down to 170mm. Can you please confirm? Providing us with the 3D model of the arena would also work

Some Clarifications

TEAM NAME: BASILISK

  1. Will we get points if our robot makes contact with the charging station even if it is not active at that given instant of time?
  2. Are we allowed to modify or update the code in our robot, after each round?
  3. We are facing an error 'Expecting pts ' while trying to open the file mart.kicad_pcb. Can you do the needful?
  4. Is there a limit on the energy storage capacity of the robot?

[RuleBook] - Robot Perimeter

  • Team Name : Technocats
  • RuleBook Reference : page 13 Section 3.2.1
  • Question : Will there be issues if maximum external perimeter is off by 10%. How much difference is tolerated for the external perimeter restrictions.

Electronic realization

  • Team Name : BASILISK
  • Question: In the circuit diagram provided, there were 5 chipboards. Should we print it onto a single board or should we print it onto different boards?

Energy to Score Conversion

Team Name : Technocats
RuleBook Reference : nil
Question : How exactly is the voltage measured in the energy storage station converted to points ?

[RuleBook] - Sample Question

  • Team Name : Organisation team
  • RuleBook Reference : Page 0, Line 10-20
  • Question : This is a sample question. Participants are encouraged to create one issue for each question they want to ask to the organization team.

[Final] - Test in arena

  • Team Name : maxq
  • Question : Will we get a chance to test our robot in the arena before the contest? It's extremely hard to make something autonomous run perfectly in the real world without testing it in the arena first.
