mdash

mdash is a Chrome extension which aims to replace the New Tab page with a light dashboard linked with your bookmarks.

Usage

If you only want to install the extension, please visit the website for more informations.

Warning: The code is quite awful at the moment. A big refactoring is on its way, hopefully.

Clone the repository.
$ git clone https://[email protected]/romac/mdash.git
Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions
Toggle the Developer mode.
Click Load unpacked extension...
Select the previously cloned repository.

Feature request: Insert custom CSS

I use mdash, on developer mode, with my customized CSS inserted like this: https://github.com/Phroneris/mdash/tree/develop (see user.css and dashboard.html)
It would be great if mdash could load user's CSS through its GUI option, either by importing some file or by writing directly on some kind of text editor area.

Editing link crashes Chrome

Steps to reproduce

Add a bookmark subfolder
Try to edit link of bookmark
=> Chrome crashes

Error

Probably the fact that the edited link is a "regular" link and not a link to a bookmark subfolder.

No scroll bar for left column overflow

When there are more bookmarks that can fit on the right hand side a scroll bar appears. This doesn't happen when you put too many items on the left hand side.
